Pursuant to the foregoing Warrant, I, the subscriber, one of the Constables of the Town of Andover, have notified the inhabitants of said town to meet at the time and place, and for the purposes stated in said Warrant, by posting a true and attested copy of the same on the Town House, on each school-house, and in not less than five other public places where bills and notices are usually posted, said Warrants have been posted two Sundays.

marks, presented the Moderator, in behalf of the citizens, a solid silver loving cup, bearing this inscription : -
The Citizens of the Town of Andover, Massachusetts, to George Horace Poor, for twenty-five years Moderator at the Town Meetings. March 5, 1906.
Mr. Poor accepted the gift with emotion, and returned most hearty thanks for the appreciation shown by his fellow citizens.
Report of Committee on Town Accounts
Voted, That the Clerk record upon the minutes of the meeting the fact that the Committee appointed by vote of the Town, March 6th, 1905, appeared and made oral report of progress.
Voted, That the Committee be continued, with the same power and authority, and that the Committee be and they are hereby authorized to establish and put in practice in any and all the various departments of the Town such rules and methods of accounting as the Committee shall recommend in writing to the Selectmen ; also to study further the cost of maintenance of the several departments as compared with the cost of similar departments in other towns.
Voted, That the meeting be dissolved. And the meeting was dissolved at 4.55 P. M.

GREETING :
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby directed to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Andover qualified to vote in town affairs, to meet and assemble at the Town Hall, in said Andover, on Wednesday, August 1st, 1906, at 7.30 o'clock, P. M., to act on the following articles :
Article 1st .- To choose a Moderator to preside at said meeting.
Article 2nd .- To see if the Town will accept the gift of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00), made by the will of Mrs. Helen G. Coburn, to form a permanent endowment fund for Memorial Hall.
Article 3rd .- To see if the Town will discontinue a por- tion of School Street, according to a plan submitted by the Boston and Maine Railroad, for a new station and for im- proving the approaches to the same.
Article 4th .- To see if the Town will vote to allow a cer- tain lot of land on Corbett street to be used as a cemetery, for the purpose of burial.
Article 5th .- To transact any other business that may legally come before said meeting.

Voted, to discontinue a portion of School Street to make room for new Boston and Maine Railroad passenger station , as follows : Beginning at a point where the westerly line of School Street intersects the southerly line of Essex Street, and running thence south 67º 59' 26" east, by Essex Street twenty-three and seventy-four one hundredths (23.74) feet ; thence turning and running south 18° 35' 34" west, by a portion of School Street a distance of four hundred eighty-two and forty-eight one hundredths (482.48) feet, thence curving to the right with a radius of thirty (30)

feet, still by a portion of School Street a distance of twenty- three and three one hundredths (23.03) feet, thence north- easterly by land of Boston and Maine Railroad a distance of seventeen and seventy-three one hundredths (17.73) feet ; thence north 20° 27' 40" east, by land of the said Railroad a distance of four hundred eighty-six and sixty-five one hundredths (486.65) feet to the point of beginning. Said parcel contains an area of seven thousand, seven hun- dred and sixty-nine (7,769) square feet, as shown on a plan entitled " Proposed Passenger Station, B. & M. R. R., Ando- ver, Mass.", dated March, 1906, a copy of which is filed with the Board of Selectmen of said Town of Andover.
Provided that the Railroad corporation will undertake to properly construct School Street, as shown by the proposed new location, and will provide suitable gutters, culverts and drains to take care of the surface water from Essex and School Streets collecting at and near the station.
It is understood that the Railroad will do the excavation and other work necessary in School Street, leaving same as good as present street surface, in accordance with lines shown on blue print.

Voted, To allow the use of the following described prem- ises, to wit : A certain lot of land in Andover on the road from Frye Village to the land formerly known as Stevens Place, being now known as Corbett Road, and bounded, be- ginning at the southeast corner of premises at a bound by the road, and thence north by said road 51 rods to land now or formerly of Simeon Stevens, Jr., and thence westerly by said Stevens land 46 rods to stake and stones, or other bound, and thence south 38 rods by land now or formerly of Samuel Poor to an oak tree ; thence southeasterly by land now or formerly of Osgood Barnard 21 rods and 6 links to a stake and stones or other bound, by land now or formerly of Amos Abbott; and thence easterly by said Abbott's land,

now or formerly, 26 rods to a stake and stones on the west- erly side of said road; and thence by said Corbett Road about 12 rods to the point of beginning. Containing about seventeen acres more or less ; and such other land as from time to time may be acquired adjacent to said premises, as a cemetery for the purpose of burial.

Special Town Meeting January 7th, 1907

In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby directed to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Andover, qualified to vote in town affairs, to meet and assemble at the Town House, in said Andover, on Mon- day, January 7th, 1907, at 7.30 o'clock, P. M., to act on the following articles :
Article 1st .- To choose a Moderator to preside at said meeting.
Article 2nd .- To see if the Town will sell to the City of Lawrence a quantity of water to tide them over their present emergency as provided for by Section 35, Chapter 25, of the Revised Laws, as amended by Section 1, Chapter 361, Acts of 1902, on petition of the Board of Public Works and others.
Article 3rd .- To transact any other business that may legally come before said meeting.
Hereof fail not and make due return of this Warrant, with your doings thereon, to the Selectmen at the time and place of meeting.

At a legal meeting of the inhabitants of the Town of And- over, qualified to vote in town affairs, convened at the Town House in said Andover, on Monday, January 7th, 1907, at 7.30 o'clock, P. M., agreeably to the requirements of the fore- going Warrant, and after the reading of the same by the Town Clerk, Article 1st was taken up and George H. Poor was chosen Moderator by acclamation.
Took up Article 2nd.
After much explanation and discussion it was voted, That the Town of Andover allow a temporary connection to be made by the City of Lawrence between the water systems of the Town of Andover and the said City of Lawrence, and furnish such an amount of water to said City of Lawrence as they shall desire and the Andover system be capable of sup- plying, without injuring the efficiency of the service in And- over, such supply to be discontinued not later than May 1st, 1907. Said City of Lawrence to lay all pipes, set meter, check valve, stop valve, and make connections without ex- pense to the Town of Andover. The meter, check valve and stop valve to be placed in Andover and be absolutely con- trolled by the agents of that town. This connection shall be broken and discontinued at the expense of the City of Law- rence not later than May 1st, 1907. The Town of Andover reserves the right to at any time discontinue the service, or any portion of it when they deem it essential to the welfare of said town.
The City of Lawrence to pay the Town of Andover for the amount of water furnished, as ascertained by meter measure- ment according to the schedule adopted by the Board of Public Works January 1st, 1902.
The Board of Public Works is hereby instructed to carry out the provisions of this vote.
The vote stood : Yes, 220; No, 2.
Voted, That the meeting be dissolved.
