GREETING :-
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of Weymouth aforesaid qual- ified to vote in Town affairs to meet in the hall of the Weymouth High School on
MONDAY, THE TWENTY-FOURTH DAY OF JUNE, 1957
at seven o'clock and forty-five minutes in the evening, then and there to act upon the following articles, namely:

ARTICLE 1. (At Request of Building Committee) To see what suin of money the Town will vote to raise by taxation, or otherwise, and appropriate, for the purpose of constructing and originally equipping and furnishing an elementary school on the site off Green Street whose purchase was authorized at the Special Town Meeting held on September 17, 1956, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 2. (By Direction of Selectmen). To see what action the Town will take to transfer the control of the land as shown on plan made by Arthur J. Bilodeau, Town Engineer, commonly known as Town Hall Parking Area, from the School Department to the Board of Selectmen, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 3. (By Direction of Selectmen). To see if the Town will vote to amend its By-Laws by adopting and adding to Article 6 "En- titled Police Regulations" the following By-Law to be designated as Section 608A. "The Board of Selectmen shall prepare rules and regu- lations governing the use of the Town Hall Parking Area so called as described in Article 2, and may alter, rescind, and/or add to such rules and regulations from time to time as the Board of Selectmen deemn necessary," or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 4. (By Direction of Selectmen). To see if the Town wiil accept the recommendation of the Board of Selectmen relative to alter- ation of Precincts 4, 6 and 10 division boundaries in West Lake (West- lake) Drive area, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 5. (On Petition of Charles C. and Helen E. Fortier and others and by Direction of Selectmen). To see if the Town will vote to amend its Zoning By-Laws and Zoning Map, Article X of the Town By-Laws, by making the following changes: Change of Districts. From Residential to Limited Business, Lots 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 now or for- merly the property of Charles C. Fortier and Helen E. Fortier, tenants by the entirety, and Lot 14 now or formerly the property of Dorothea F. Fucci, Block 533, Sheet 46, as shown in the Town Atlas revised to January 1, 1956, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 6. (On Petition of George E. Lane and others and by Direction of Selectmen). To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise by taxation or otherwise and appropriate for a survey by the Laban Pratt Hospital Trustees of the hospital needs of the people of the Town of Weymouth, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 7. (On Petition of George E. Lane and others and by Direction of Selectmen). To see if the Town will instruct the Laban Pratt Hospital Trustees to seek legal authority from the court to allow the use of the Laban Pratt Hospital Fund for the construction of an addi- tion to the South Shore Hospital on land adjacent to that institution and to be named the Laban Pratt Wing.
ARTICLE 8. (On Petition of George E. Lane and others and by Direction of Selectmen). To see if the Town will instruct the Board of Selectmen to take necessary action to secure certain sums from the Towns of Braintree, Abington, Cohasset, Hanover, Hingham, Hull, Marsh- field, Norwell, Rockland, Scituate and other towns, such sums to be in proportion to the use of the South Shore Hospital by citizens of such town and the cost of the proposed Laban Pratt Wing or take any other action in relation thereto.
You are directed to serve this Warrant by posting a true copy thereof,

attested by you in writing, in each of two public places in each voting precinct in said town, seven days at least before the date of holding said meeting.
Hereof fail not, and make due return of the Warrant with your doings thereon to the Town Clerk of said town on or before the 11th day of June in the year of our Lord nineteen hundred and fifty-seven.
Given under our hands at Weymouth this 27th day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fifty-seven.

SPECIAL TOWN MEETING MONDAY, JUNE 24, 1957
Pursuant to a Warrant duly issued, the Special Town Meeting of the inhabitants of the Town of Weymouth, represented by their duly elected and qualified Town Meeting Members, was held in the auditorium of the Weymouth High School on Monday, June 24, 1957.
The Meeting was called to order at 7:45 o'clock in the evening by the Annual Moderator, Mr. Daniel L. O'Donnell.
The Town Clerk, Mr. Harry Christensen, read the Call of the Meeting.

Prayer for Divine Guidance at the Special Town Meeting was offered by Rev. Francis McFarlane, St. Jerome's R. C. Church, No. Weymouth, Mass.
The Moderator questioned the presence of a quorum and then pro- ceeded to determine if a quorum was present.
After a count was taken and a quorum not being present, a five minute recess was declared.
After the recess another count was taken, with a quorum still not present.
