ARTICLE 15. (By Direction of Selectmen). To see if the Town will vote to abandon a small triangular parcel of land shown as Lot B on a plan entitled "Plan of Subdivision of Land in Weymouth, Mass," dated October 14, 1956, by Arthur J. UNANIMOUSLY VOTED: That the Town vote to accept the report of the Selectmen laying out as a Town way Manomet Road and Wessa- gusset Road to Grandview Road and that the Town take by purchase, gift, cr eminent domain in fee, the necessary land and building of Charles and Edna Chase of 189 Sea Street for street purposes and that the sum of $1,500.00 be raised and appropriated for this purpose. $1,500.00


ARTICLE 20. (By Direction of Selectmen). To see if the Town will vote to instruct the Superintendent of the Sewer Department when black topping the area after completing the installation of a sewer main down the center of said street to run the black top from curbing to curbing, or take any other action in relation thereto.

Culvert to be constructed at the intersection of Pine Street and Pleasant Street over Old Swamp River or take any other ac- tion in relation thereto. Work to be done by Private Contractor under the direction of the Board of Selectmen and the Town Engineer.

Said work to be done by the Highway Department.

To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate by taxation or otherwise, the sum of $155,500.00 for the installation of a drainage system for the Weymouth- Braintree Smelt Brook area as recommended in the report by Metcalf and Eddy, Engineers, in report to Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Depart- ment of Public Works, dated April 17, 1956; that all work to be done under the direction of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Pub- Works; and that the Board of Selectmen be authorized to secure or ac- cept any easements necessary for the above purpose; and the Town's share of the damages shall be payable from above appropriation provided the money to be made available only if the Town of Braintree make available a like amount and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Public Works make available 50% of the entire cost, or take any other action in relation thereto.

ARTICLE 33. (At Request of Drainage Committee). To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate by taxation or otherwise, a sum of $7,500.00 for the installation of 36" R.C. drainage line under the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad tracks at the nartherly end of the Braintree-Weymouth Parking area as shown on proposed plan and profile showing proposed drain at New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad in Weymouth, dated May 18, 1956; all work to be done by private contract, under the direction of the Boards of Selectmen and Town En- gineers of Weymouth and Braintree; and that the Board of Selectmen be authorized to secure or accept any easements for the above purpose; the money to be made available only if the Town of Braintree make available a like amount or take any other action in relation thereto.

That the Town vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $7,500.00 for the installation of a drainage system under the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad tracks at the northerly end of the Braintree-Weymouth Parking area as recommended by Metclaf and Eddy, and as shown on proposed plan and profile showing proposed drain at New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad in Weymouth, dated May 18, 1956; all work to be done by private contract, under the direction of the Boards of Se- lectmen and Town Engineers of Weymouth and Braintree; and that the Board of Selectmen be authorized to secure or accept any easements for the above purpose; the money to be made available only if the Town of Braintree makes available a like amount.
