The number of paupers now at the asylum is three, to wit : - Elijah Penniman, Oliver B. Everett, and Angenette Williams. Benjamin Wheelock, Seth Hastings, the family of Whipple Allen, in Milford, and the Perham family, in Bellingham, are receiving such assistance as they may require.
It will be seen by this report, that the expenses of the Per- ham family have been large, caused by severe sickness a great part of the time ; but the Overseers hear that the health of the family is improving, and think their expense to the Town may be immediately diminished.
The Overseers would further report that they received a notice from the Overseers of Milford, dated Jan. 13th, 1870, stating that the widow of Salem Lee was chargeable in that Town; but they have not satisfied themselves whether or not she has a legal settlement in this Town.
All which is respectfully submitted.

GILBERT GASKILL, Poor.
