OVERSEERS' REPORT.
The Overseers of the Poor, submit the following Report of their doings, for the municipal year, ending March 5, 1866 :-
There were remaining, on the 6th. day. of March, 1865, at the Asylum, and there receiving a full support, the following persons, to wit :- Elijah Penniman, Samuel Stone, John French, Nathaniel Sweeting, Oliver B. Everett, Angenette Williams and Zilpah Hayward.
March 13th, 1865. The Overseers contracted with Wel- lington Young, to take charge of the Asylum and manage the Farm for one year from April 1st, ensuing, for the sum of three hundred and fifty dollars. For further particulars, see contract on file.
March 16th, 1865. Susan E. Inman, wife of Dexter Inman Jr., applied for assistance for herself and three children, which was rendered, and the town of Uxbridge, their place of legal settlement, duly notified.
April 24th, 1865. Frederick and Charles E. Hill, were re- moved from the town of Hardwick, to the Asylum to be sup- ported.

May 13th, 1865. Lawrence Wilber came to the Asylum, to be supported, and during this month, Mrs. McDonald and her daughter Mary, deceased away from the Asylum, neither hav- ing any settlement in the Commonwealth, and were assisted to the amount of $7,71.
August 17th, 1865. Samuel E. and Olive H. M. Everton, children of Samuel Everton, deceased, were removed from the Almshouse of the town of Canton, to their mother's residence in Upton, to be supported by the mother. The former legal settlement of Samuel the father, and consequently the chil- dren's was in Canton, and was changed from there to Mendon, by the provision of chap. 230 of the Statutes of 1865.
September 4th, 1865. Mary Ann MacIntire, former wife of Clark Hill, and mother of Frederick and Charles E. Hill, came to the Asylum and removed said children, promising to sup- port them without further expense to the town.
September 11th, 1865. The Everton children were re- moved this day from their mother's, on her request, on ac- count of alledged inability to support them, to the Asylum to be there supported.
Sept. 28th, 1865. Lawrence. Wilber, left the Asylum for parts unknown.
November 18th, 1865. Zilpah Hayward died this day at the Asylum, aged 87 years, and was buried in the burying ground at North Bellingham.
February 17th, 1866. The Everton children were re- moved from the Asylum to Northbridge by their Guardian and father in law Jason H. Cummings, husband of Malinda W. Everton, to be supported by him, without expense to the town in future.
Benjamin Wheelock has received assistance at various times during the year to the amount of $19,33.
Mrs. MacCarty and two children, wife and children of Mich- ael MacCarty, deceased, having no legal settlement in the Commonwealth, have received assistance to the amount of $13,88.
Seth Hastings has been assisted to the amount of $7,52.
Mercy J. Goodnow, to the amount of $19,01.
Whipple Allen of Milford, having a legal settlement here, to the amount of $4,00.

OVERSEERS' REPORT.
The Overseers of the Poor, submit the following Report of their doings, for the municipal year, ending March 4, 1867 : -
On the 5th. day of March, 1866, there were six persons at the Asylum receiving support as paupers, to wit : - Elijah Penniman, Samuel Stone, John French, Nathaniel Sweeting, Oliver B. Everett and Angenette Williams.
March 22, 1866. The Overseers contracted with Seth P. Chase, of Blackstone, to take charge of the Asylum for one year from the 1st. day of April, for the sum of three hundred and seventy dollars.
About the time of making up of the Report of last year, the family of Darling Huntress became chargable in the town of Blackstone. He has no known settlement in the State, and the wife having a settlement here, (being a daughter of Eben- ezer Howard,) the expenses of their support were paid.
On the 9th. of January, 1866, Elizabeth Howard and her illegitimate son, Henry H. Howard, became chargable in the town of Holliston, and being daughter and grandson of the aforesaid Ebenezer Howard, their expenses were also paid.
On or about the 27th. day of February, 1866, Sarah Forbes and two minor sons became chargeable in the town of Wen- dall, and not being able to be removed on account of severe sickness, remained there, and the expenses were paid.
April 17, 1866. Nathaniel Sweeting left the Asylum, and went to his son's to be supported.
May 1, 1866. Nathaniel Sweeting returned to the Asylum to be supported.

August 18, 1866. Lawrence Wilber came to the Asylum to be supported,
August 22, 1866. Nathaniel Sweeting left the Asylum, and went to be supported by his friends.
October 27, 1866. John French, deceased at the Asylum, aged 66 years, 2 months and 25 days, and was buried in the old burying ground near L. Grow's, by the side of Mrs. Cath- erine Twitchell, his aunt.
Dec. 3, 1866. Samuel Stone deceased at the Asylum, aged 64 years, and was interred in the old burying ground near his relatives.
June 29, 1866. Dexter Inman, jr. and family received as- sistance in the town of Uxbridge by the Overseers there.
Oct. 18, 1866. Francis Kelly, a foreigner, was found in needy circumstances at Mr. Samuel G. Wilcox's, and carried to the Asylum, and on the 24th. was conveyed to the State Alms House, at Monson.
Jan. 13, 1867. James W. Wilson came to the Asylum, and there remained till Feb. 3d.
Benjamin Wheelock and Seth Hastings, of this town, and Whipple Allen, of Milford, having a settlement here, have been partially assisted during the year.
