At a Special Town Meeting held in the Town Hall, Boxford, Mass, Wednesday evening, July 1942. The following record was made viz: Meeting called to order and the Warran read by the Moderator, William J. Greenler, at eight minutes past eight i clock. Article1.


Voted


to raise and appropriate two thousand dollars (2000.00) to erect and equip a suitable building in which to house the Fire Truck, and that the matter of locating the site for the building be left in the hands of a committee, consisting of Dimon Lockwood. Prof. Franklin G. Roberts and Raymond Perley.


Art. 2. Voted


to pass over Article two, relative to the replacement of the Flag Pole, on the Monument Grounds in West Boxford.


Art.3 Voted


to raise and appropriate $100.00 to be used under the direction of the Selectmen for activities made necessary by war conditions.

Proclamation


Jo ye citizens of ye towne of Boxford in ye Counties of Essex,


Greetings:


Whereas on ye 12th daye of August in ye year of Our Lord sixteen hundred & eighty-fire, ye toune of Bokford was dily incorporated, and, whereas two and a half centuries have now elapsed and still our tound doth by ye Grace of God exist, we the Select men of this aforesaid toune do think it mete and fitting that due recognition of this event be made.


We, the Select men do, Therefore, proclaims that the twelfth dage of August, 1935, A.D. be declared a day of festival & rejoicing, to which we hereby set our several hands & reals.

Treatment: Book dismantled and binding materials removed. Paper mended with Japanese tissue or Crompton heat set tissue. Paper deacidified using magnesium oxide. Book resewn and bound in Hewit vegetable tanned goatskin and acid-free materials.
