Seventh Essex Representative District In accordance with the provision of Chapter 54 of the General Laws, the Town Clerks of Danvers, Middleton, Topsfield, and Boxford, said Towns comprising the Seventh Essex Representative District, met at 12 o'clock noon on Friday, the 14th day of November, A.D. 1930 in the office of the Town Clerk of Danvers, the place designated for such meeting for the purpose of examin- ing and comparing the transcript of returns, To ascertain what person was elected to repre- sent said District in the General Court of The Commonwealth.

At a legal meeting of the inhabitants of the Town of Boxford, qualified to vote at Elections and in town affairs, held in Lincoln Hall, West Boxford, on Monday, March 2, 1931, it being the annual town meeting; the following record was made: -


The meeting was called to order und the Warrant read by the Moderator, Chester Killam, at 8-15 o'clock A.M.

To accept the report of the Town Accountant as found on pages 12-25 of Toun Report.


That the compensation of Town Officers and Com- mittees be the same as last year. as follows :- The Collector of Taxes, shall receive I per cent of the collections. The Town Accountant, shall receive two hundred dollars a year, The Town Treasurer, shall receive one hun- dred dollars a year.


That all other bills shall be allowed by the Selectmen, except their own bills for services rendered to the Town, these bills must be brought before the Town to be allowed.


That the Suggested Budget, down as far as the Selectmen's recommendations on page 79 of the Town report, with the following amendments be accepted, and the money raised and appropriated to pay the same. To add seventy five (75) dollars. to the Town Clerk's account. Eight hundred (800.00) dollars to Public Welfare. Soldier's Graves, two hundred (200.00) dollars. At a Special Town Meeting held in Lincoln Hall, West Boxford, on Monday evening, August 10, 1931 the following record was made.


Meeting was called to order at 8 o'clock P. M. and the warrant read by the Moderator, Mr. Chester Killam


Art. 1. Voted


that the Selectmen be authorized to useany unexpended balance of The Ipswich road appro- priation for Land damages on said Ipswich road, after the acceptance of the road by the State and County.


Art. 2. Voted


to raise and appropriate 800.00 for the use of the Welfare department for the remainder of the year .


Art. 3. Voted


To raise and appropriate 1200.00 for highways to be used the direction of the Selectmen.


Art 4. Voted


that Mr. Isaac J. Sawyer be given the unan- imous consent of the meeting to speak.

That the vote passed at the last annual town meeting under Article 21 be amended by substituting Endicott Road and Middleton Road for Endicott Road as called for under Articlex 4.

that the i electmen be authorized to pay" 1.50 an hour for the use of trucks on the roads, including the driver.
