GILBERT M. LELAND, a foreman in the Fay & Scott Machine Shop in Dexter, was b in Sangerville Aug. 11, 1901, the s of John W. and Mary Thompson Leland. He m Miss Ger- trude Flanders, who was b to Leonard E. and Grace Ken- dall Flanders in Willimantic July 27, 1900. He g from Fox- croft Academy and she g from Sangerville High school. In 1923 Mr. Leland took employment with the Central Maine Power Co., in charge of rural line extension work in Maine. In 1930 he began similar work with the New Eng- land Public Service, covering Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont, and still holds that position with an office in Au- gusta. Mr. Leland has been honored by his District in be- ing sent to the State Legislature for the two terms beginning with the years 1923 and 1925. He also served two terms in the Maine Senate, beginning with 1929 and 1931. He served on the Governor's Executive Council for 1943-1944. In 1945 he was appointed by Governor Hildreth as a mem- ber of the commission to attend to the erecting a new Office Building at Augusta for State business. George E. is a radio engineer for the "WLBZ" radio station in Bangor and the family reside in Bangor. HERBERT A. LIBBY, a co-partner with Elwood S. McKusick, doing a carpentering, painting and paperhanging business, was b in Dover-Foxcroft Dec. 30, 1918, the s of Paul and Eva Donald Libby. He m Miss Mary Grant, the d of Floyd M. and Lulu Hoskins Grant and b in Milo Feb. 19, 1919, and was g from the Milo High school. They have two d, Sandra Dianne, b in Milo Jan. 20, 1940, and René Lorraine, b in Dover-Foxcroft July 22, 1944.
PETER C. LIBBY, employed in woolen mill dye-house, was b to Charles G. and Celinire Plante Libby in Dover-Foxcroft Sep. 22, 1920. He m Mamie Boulay of Fort Kent and she was b to Daniel and Beatrice Berube Boulay Mar. 23, 1921. They have one d, Betty Mae, b in D-F Apr. 10, 1943.
WILLIAM J. LISSON was b to John L. and Margaret McEwen Lisson at Markhamville, Kings County, N. B., Aug. 18, 1877. Mr. Lisson was telegraph operator and station agent for the Bangor & Aroostook Railroad from 1903-1938, now retired. On June 5, 1907 he m Miss Marion Robinson, who was b Jan. 9, 1888, the d of Anson J. and Eliza Atkinson Robinson. Mrs. Lisson g from the D-F schools. They have no chil- dren. She is a member of the D-F Christian Science So- ciety, and he is a member of the Episcopal church of Sus- sex, N. B. In politics, Republican. Both are members of Queen City Grange No. 30 in Bangor, also Penobscot Po- mona No. 8 and State and National Grange. Mrs. Lisson served as Lecturer, also as Secretary of Queen City Grange, and Mr. Lisson as Gatekeeper, Steward, Overseer, Master six years, then four years as Lecturer. Mrs. Lisson was a member of the Penobscot County Farm Bureau, was on the executive board as County Home Management Leader for two years; was also leader of the snappy 4-H girls' club for several years.
DANA W. LIVERMORE, farmer at Sebec Corner, was b to John Q. and Leah Smith Livermore in Sebec Mar. 3, 1921. Jan. 15, 1944 he m Miss Eleanor Young, d of Earl M. and Mar- jorie Crowell Young and b in Garland Mar. 22, 1923. Both are g from Milo High school, and both are members of the County Farm Bureau.

JOHN QUINCY LIVERMORE, a farmer at Sebec Corner, was b in Sebec Apr. 2, 1893, the s of Ernest and Lucy Johnston Livermore. He m Leah M. Smith, who was b to Henry and Alwilda Hewett Smith in Pawtucket, R. I., Feb. 20, 1891, and died Nov. 8, 1946. They had two ch: (1) Barbara, b Sep. 5, 1918, and g from Foxcroft Academy in 1936. She m Patrick Morrison of New York. (2) Dana W., b Mar. 3, 1921, was g from Milo High school in 1939. He m Eleanor Young of Milo. John Q. Livermore is a member of the East Dover Grange.
LEWIS F. LIVERMORE was a farmer at Sebec Corner and was b in Sebec July 12, 1876, the s of Freemont J. and Jeannette Johnston Livermore. He m Florence Dean, the d of John C. and Harriett Green Dean and b in Foxcroft Nov. 13, 1881. Mr. Livermore died at Sebec Apr. 29, 1937, leaving two ch: (1) Blanche F., b Oct. 14, 1902. She m Myron Smart of Rockwood. (See "Milo Biographies.") (2) Jeannette H., b June 26, 1905. She m Guy H. Crockett of Dover-Foxcroft and they have Ronald, Louise, Louis and Charles.
CARL E. LONDON, a laborer, was b in Dover-Foxcroft June 10, 1913, the s of Frank and Emma Angove London. He served in the regular U. S. Army for 12 years and was medically discharged from the same in 1943. He belongs to the American Legion. Mr. London m Miss Martha Tucker, who was b to Edward N. and Lugardie Eldridge Tucker in Dover-Foxcroft May 11, 1923 and g from Fox- croft Academy in 1942.
PAUL E. LONDON, veteran of World War II, now finisher in a local woolen mill, was b in Dover-Foxcroft Mar. 17, 1925, the s of Frank and Emma Angrove London. In Birming- ham, England, he m Miss Hilda Rose, who was b to Harry and Ada Leadbetter Rose in that city Jan. 25, 1923. They have one s, Michael Leslie, b in D-F Jan. 6, 1947.
