WYMAN, Oliver Cromwell, wholesale dry goods; born at Anderson, Ind., Jan., 1837; son of Henry and Prudence (Ber- ry) Wyman; removed to Iowa at 7 years of age and was educated in com- mon schools of Iowa. Began business career at Marion, Ia., at age of 14 years; came to Minneapolis, 1874, and estab- lished the same year the wholesale'dry goods house of Wyman & Mullin, at 220 Hennepin Av .; withdrew from the partnership, 1890, and became senior partner, under name of Wyman, Part- ridge & Co., of which he is president; also director Northwestern National Bank, Farmers & Mechanics' Savings Bank. YAUZ, William J., superintendent 2nd State Asylum; born at Hastings, Minn., Aug. 6, 1867: son of Frank and Mary (Memmor) Yauz; educated at St. Boni- face Catholic School; Hastings (Minn.) Was billing clerk and cashier Gardner Flour Mill, 1889- 93; engaged in retail grocery business, 1893-99; clerk and bookkeeper at State Asylum, Jan. 1, 1900, to Aug. 1, 1901; has been superintendent of the asylum since Aug. 1, 1901.
