MEMORIAL OF THE CHURCH OF
" Again the angel of death has taken one of our members, this time from among those comparatively young, one who was active and hopeful for our future life as a Post, and one on whom we had gladly placed the rank of senior vice com- mander. With saddened hearts we commemorate his vir- tues, therefore, be it
Resolved, That in the death of our senior vice command- er, we have lost a true friend and comrade, the faithful soldier, the active worker. the good and upright neighbor. We tender to the family of the deceased. our sympathy in this hour of grief, and pray for heaven's blessing upon his wife and children. Their grief is our burden, and we will do all in our power to help and comfort them.
Reminded by our loss that we must work while it is dav. we will renew our efforts for the best interest of our Post. remembering the sick, and gladly ministering to their needs with a soldier's zeal and kindness, awaiting the summons that must come to us all, in humble trust in God, our Father, who doeth all things well.
Resolved, that this minute be placed upon our records, and a copy be sent to the family of our late worthy and respected comrade, Frank II. Little. George J. Sanger. W. W. Eaton, and William T. Damon."
His friends were many, as they found him always the same kind man, with a cheerful word for all. He always looked on the bright side. and even when near his end of life would always say, "I shall be better in a few days."
