Article 50. To see if the Town will vote to extend the water main 600 feet westerly on Grove Street and raise and appropriate money for same, as petitioned for by Walter L. Rodd and others.
VOTED that action under this article be indefinitely postponed.
Article 51. To see if the Town will extend the water main from a point on North Main Street opposite Stacy Street 250 feet in a northerly direction to a point near the corner of North Main and Waldo Streets and raise and appropriate money for same, as petitioned for by Waldo E. Mann and others.
VOTED that the water main on North Main Street op- posite Stacy Street be extended 250 feet in a northerly direction to a point near the corner of North Main and Waldo Streets, and that the sum of $700.00 be raised and appropriated therefor.
Article 52. To see if the Town will vote to install the water mains on Center Street, between Union Street and South Street and raise and appropriate money for the same, as petitioned for by Peter Madigan, William S. Hudson and others.
VOTED that the sum of $1,718.25 be raised and appro- priated to install the water mains on Center Street, be- tween Union Street and South Street.
Article 53. To see if the Town will instruct the Water Commissioners to extend the water mains along Chest- nut Street to the residence of John Stevenson, and raise and appropriate money therefor, as petitioned for by Charles L. Truelson, William H. Quigley and others.

Article 53A. To see if the Town will vote to have the two dead ends of water pipe on Grove Street connected, and raise and appropriate money therefor.
VOTED that the sum of $1,000.00 be raised and appro- priated to connect the two dead ends of water pipe on Grove Street.
Article 54. To see what action the Town will take in regard to rebuilding Union Street from Crawford Square to the Randolph-Holbrook Town line in conjunc- tion with the County and State, and raise and appropriate money for the same.
A motion to rebuild this street was defeated. 88 af- firmative to 104 negative.
Article 55. To see if the Town will vote to purchase a 12 ton road roller for the Highway Department, and raise and appropriate money therefor, as petitioned for by the Highway Surveyor.
VOTED 187 affirmative to 25 negative.
VOTED that the sum of $5,000.00 be raised and appro- priated for the purpose of purchasing a 12-ton road roller for the highway department, and that the sum of twelve hundred dollars be raised in the tax levy of the current year, and that the Treasurer with the approval of the Selectmen be and hereby is authorized to borrow the sum of $3,800.00 and to issue a note or notes therefor in ac- cordance with the provisions of Chapter 44 of the Gen- eral Laws, and amendment thereto, so that the whole loan shall be paid in not more than five years from the

date of the issue of the first note or at such earlier date as the Treasurer and Selectmen may determine.
VOTED that a committee of three, consisting of James Lynch, R. E. O'Brien and Herman W. French be ap- pointed to purchase the road roller.
Article 56. To see what action the Town will take relative to making repairs to Chestnut Street, and to raise and appropriate the sum of $2,000.00 therefor, as peti- tioned for by William J. Carroll and others.
A Motion to raise $1,000.00 under this article was de- feated.
Article 57. To see if the Town will raise and appro- priate the sum of $1,000.00 for the purpose of making re- pairs to Canton Street, as petitioned for by Percy Cord- ingly and others.
The report of the Committee was accepted and adopted and it was Voted to raise and appropriate the sum of $1,000.00 for the purpose of making repairs to Canton Street.
Article 58. To see if the Town will vote to make re- pairs to Canton Street and raise and appropriate $3,000.00 therefor, as petitioned for by William Sargent and others.
VOTED that the sum of $1,500.00 be raised and appro- priated to make repairs to Canton Street.
Article 59. To see what action the Town will take relative to rebuilding Lafayette Street, commencing at West Street, and raise and appropriate money for the same, as petitioned for by Hiram S. Faunce and others.
VOTED that the sum of $1,000.00 be raised and appro- priated for rebuilding Lafayette Street, starting at West Street, under the direction of the Highway Surveyor.

Article 60. To see if the Town will vote to repair or rebuild Howard Street, and raise and appropriate money therefor, as petitioned for by Joseph Shepard, John A. Hoye and others.
VOTED that the sum of $2,000.00 be raised and appro- priated for repairs to and drainage of Howard Street, the work to be conducted under the direction of the Highway Surveyor.
Article 61. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate $1,500.00 to complete the permanent con- struction on Center Street as petitioned for by Thomas Bates, Leon E. Clifford and others.
VOTED that action under this article be indefinitely postponed.
Article 62. To see if the Town will vote to make re- pairs on Mill Street and raise and appropriate $2,000.00 therefor, as petitioned for by Michael F. Brady, James Burke and others.
VOTED that the sum of $2,000.00 be raised and appro- priated for repairs to Mill Street, under the direction of the Highway Surveyor.
Article 63. To see if the Town will raise and appro- priate $3,000.00 to complete the permanent construction of South Street, as petitioned for by Joseph J. McMahon and others.
Under Article 63 a motion to raise and appropriate $3,000.00 was defeated.
Article 64. To see if the Town will vote to repair the roads and sidewalks on Grove and Cross Streets and on Wales Avenue, and raise and appropriate $4,000.00 for

VOTED that the sum of $1,000.00 be raised and appro- priated to repair the roads and sidewalks on Grove and Cross Streets and on Wales Avenue.
Article 65. To see what action the Town will take in regard to applying tarvia to Grove Street from North Main Street to Cross Street and raise and appropriate money for the same as petitioned for by Millie E. Randall and others.
VOTED that the recommendation of the Committee, that no special appropriation be made under this article, but that tarvia be applied to Grove Street as petitioned for under the direction of the Highway Surveyor the ex- pense of the same to be defrayed from the general high- way appropriation, be accepted and adopted.
Article 66. To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen, at their discretion, to put advertisements in the Annual Town Report for 1926 with a view to reduc- ing or eliminating the cost of printing said Report.
VOTED that no action be taken under this article.
Article 67. To see if the Town will instruct the Board of Health to placard all houses containing officially re- ported cases of contagious disease, with a view of warn- ing the public away from such houses.
VOTED that the Board of Health be instructed to placard all cases of mumps, measles, chicken pox and whooping cough officially reported.
Article 68. To see if the Town will adopt a by-law providing for the appointment of a Finance Committee to control the Reserve Fund, as per Section 16, Chapter

39, General Laws, and appoint such Committee thereun- der.
It was Voted that all action under this article be in- definitely postponed.
Article 69. To see if the Town will vote to purchase a 5-ton caterpillar tractor with plow for snow removal and raise and appropriate money therefor.
VOTED that no action towards purchasing a 5-ton tractor be taken, but recommended that the matter of contracting for the hiring of a tractor be considered.
Article 27 was then taken up.
Under this article a motion to appropriate $1,400.00 for collection of garbage, rubbish and ashes was defeated.
Article 29 was then taken up.
VOTED that this article be indefinitely postponed.
Article 2 was then taken up.
Under this Article the Moderator declared it Voted that the report of the Town Officers be accepted.
VOTED that the meeting refer back to Article 3, and that there be appropriated $125.00 for the salary of the Moderator and that the salaries of the Water Commis- sioners be $125.00 each, to be taken from the general water appropriation.
VOTED that this meeting now dissolve.

any corporate town containing more than six thousand inhabitants a form of town government providing for town meetings limited to such inhabitants of the town as may be elected for the purpose, which received in a joint session of the two Houses held May 29, 1924, 189 votes in the affirmative and 40 votes in the negative, and at a joint session of the two Houses held March 18, 1925, re- ceived 262 votes in the affirmative and 4 in the negative, be approved ?
Question No. 2. Shall a law which amends existing law by striking out the provisions that veterans who pass Civil Service examinations shall be placed upon the eligi- ble lists above all other applicants, that disabled veterans shall be placed ahead of all other veterans, and that dis- abled veterans shall be appointed and employed in prefer- ance to all other persons ; and by providing in place there- of, that five points shall be added to the mark of veterans who pass such examinations, and ten points to the mark of disabled veterans, which law was disapproved in the Senate by a vote of 0 in the affirmative and 34 in the negative, and in the House of Representatives by a vote of 11 in the affirmative and 181 in the negative, be ap- proved ?
All the above Candidates and Referendum Questions are to be voted for upon one ballot.
The polls will be open from 5.45 o'clock A. M. to 2.00 o'clock P. M. and may be kept open longer if so ordered by the voters then present.
And you are directed to serve this warrant by posting attested copies thereof at five or more public places in said town seven days at least before the time of said meeting as directed by vote of the town.

Pursuant to the foregoing warrant the Voters of Ran- dolph assembled at Stetson Hall on Tuesday, the second day of November, 1926.
All the preliminaries being complied with, the warrant and return were read by Richard F. Forrest, Chairman of the Boad of Selectmen. The polls were open for the reception of ballots at 5.45 A. M. At 2.00 o'clock P. M. it was voted to keep the polls open until 4 o'clock P. M.
