of Stacy Street Water Loan, the remaining $12,000.00 to be raised by the issuance of notes of the town pay- able in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 44 of the General Laws, and that the Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, be authorized and empow- ered to borrow said sum of $12,000.00 and to issue notes of the town therefor, that the entire indebtedness herein authorized shall be paid in not more than twelve years from the date of issue of the first note, or at such earlier date as the Treasurer and Selectmen may de- termine.
Article 54. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate money for the Water Department to cover expenses which will occur from widening North Main Street, or to take any action relative thereto.

Voted to raise and appropriate the sum of $1,500 for the purpose of leasing a building for headquarters for Lieut. Thomas W. Desmond Post 169, The Ameri- can Legion, and authorize the Board of Selectmen to lease a building for a period not to exceed a period of five years.

June 12, 1930.
Article 1. To see if the Town will indemnify the Commonwealth of Massachusetts against any and all claims for land, grade and drainage damages which may be caused by or result from the laying out, altera- tion, construction or reconstruction of the State High- way, known as NORTH MAIN STREET or any section or relocation thereof, and will authorize the Board of Selectmen to sign an indemnity agreement therefor in behalf of the town, and to make an appropriation therefor, or take any other action with respect thereto.
Voted that the town will indemnify the Common- wealth of Massachusetts against any and all claims for land, grade and drainage damages which may be caused by or result from the laying out, alterations, construction or reconstruction of the State Highway known as NORTH MAIN STREET or any section or relocation thereof, and that the Board of Selectmen be authorized to sign an indemnity agreement therefor, in behalf of the Town indemnifying the Common- wealth as aforesaid, and that the sum of $300 be ap- propriated toward the expense and damage thereof.
Article 2. To hear and act on the report of the School Site Committee. The School Site Committee presented a written report which was read by the chairman, Dr. W. F. Ames.
Voted that the report of the School Site Commit- tee be accepted with thanks and that the School Site Committee be retained.
Article 3. To see if the town will vote the sum of $3,000 from the $5,000 School Site appropriation, for the purchase of a parcel of land for a School Site and playground on Old Street, North Randolph, con-

taining about 2% acres and described in the option secured by the School Site Committee on May 13, 1930.
Voted that we use $3,000 of the $5,000 School ap- propriation for the purchase of land on Old Street and that the Selectmen be authorized and empowered to make the purchase for the town.
Article 4. To see if the town will vote the sum of $1,500 from the $5,000 School Site appropriation for the purpose of a parcel of land for a School Site and playground between Union and South Streets, con- taining about 2 acres, as described in the option ob- tained by the School Site Committee on May 14, 1930.
Voted that we use $1,500 of the $5,000 School Site appropriation for the purchase of land between Union and South Street and that the Selectmen be au- thorized and empowered to make the purchase for the town.
Article 5. To see if the town will vote to erect a ten-room School building in North Randolph, and originally equip and furnish the same and raise and appropriate money therefor.
Voted unanimously that there be raised and ap- propriated the sum of $95,000 for the purpose of con- structing a new ten-room school building in North Ran- dolph, and for the original equipping and furnishing of said building; and that, to meet said appropriation, there be raised in the tax levy of the current year the sum of $2,000, and the treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, be and hereby is authorized to borrow the sum of $93,000 under authority of and in accord- ance with the provisions of Chapter 44, General Laws, and to issue bonds or notes of the town therefor, said bonds or notes to be payable in accordance with the provisions of Section 19 of said Chapter 44, so that the whole loan shall be paid in not more than twenty years

from the date of issue of the first bond or note, or at such earlier dates as the treasurer and selectmen may determine. That a committee of seven (7), three of whom shall be the School Committee, and the other four appointed by your Finance Committee, to be known as the School Building Committee, shall have full power as to style of building and the expenditure of the money.
Article 6. To see if the town will vote to erect a two-room school building in East Randolph and origi- nally equip and furnish the same and raise and appro- priate money therefor.
Voted unanimously that there be raised and ap- propriated the sum of $20,000 for the purpose of erect- ing a two-room school building in East Randolph, and for the originally equipping and furnishing of said building, and that, to meet said appropriation, the treasurer, with the approval of the selectmen, be and hereby is authorized to borrow the sum of $20,000 and to issue bonds or notes to be payable in accordance with the provisions of Section 19, Chapter 44, General Laws, so that the whole loan shall be paid in not more than twenty (20) years from the date of issue of the first bond or note, or at such earlier date as the treas- urer and selectmen may determine. That a committee of seven (7), three of whom shall be the School Com- mittee and the other four appointed by your Finance Committee, to be known as the School Building Com- mittee, shall have full power as to style of building and the expenditure of the money.
Article 7. To see if the town will extend the water main on North Main Street eleven hundred feet from its present terminus to the Randolph-Quincy Line and raise and appropriate $3,500 therefor.
