NINETY-FIRST ANNUAL REPORT


Report of the Water Commissioners


To the Citizens of Randolph :


The forty-first annual report of the Water Commis- sioners is herewith submitted for the year ending Decem- ber 31, 1926.


During the past year seven extensions were voted by the Town. These were all completed excepting Chestnut Street. The Town voted an extension of 600 feet on Chestnut Street, and owing to the frozen condition of the ground, only 400 feet have been laid. The remaining 200 feet to be laid as soon as weather conditions permit.


The standpipes of Randolph and Holbrook were both painted outside and cleaned and painted inside and were found to be in excellent condition.


An additional chlorinator has been installed at the pumping station by the Joint Board, thus insuring chlor- ination at all times.


During the past year seventy (70) new services were added to the system.

I have the honor to transmit the rules and regulations adopted by the Department of Public Health, in reply to your petition received at this office on May 22, 1926, relative to preventing the pollution and securing the sanitary protection of the water of Great Pond, used by the towns of Randolph and Holbrook as a source of water supply. These rules and regulations were adopted by the Department of Public Health at its meeting on June 15, 1926.

the authority of Section 160 of Chapter 111 of the Gen- eral Laws, and every other act thereto enabling, hereby makes the following rules and regulations for the purpose of preventing the pollution and securing the sanitary protection of the waters of Great Pond and its tribu- taries, used by the towns of Randolph and Holbrook as a source of water supply, which shall remain in force until further order, and which may be hereafter from time to time amended or added to by the State Depart- ment of Public Health.
