Many publishments and marriages in Hampton and other towns, and some births and deaths, are recorded in vol. I, 246 pp., extending to 1758. Several Morrills of Berwick, etc., appear. Hoags, Puringtons, and Stanyans are found very frequently, but Blaisdell, Colby, Davis, Hoyt, Wells, and other names common in the region, seldom appear. Philip Rowell kept the records abou: 1730.
ADDITIONS AND CORRECTIONS FOR VOL. I.
Those printed on pp. 83-4, 378-87, 390, 395, are not, in most cases, repeated in this volume.
Page 9. Mr. John Q. Evans, of Salisbury, states that Thomas Macy originally had two lots assigned him on the " circular road."
* If we mistake not, he was, however, appointed to attend the quarteriy meeting in Salem, in 1715.
t So far as observed, women's names appear here for the first time, excep .: as witnesses to marriages.

ADDITIONS AND CORRECTIONS.
The one assigned to H. Brown on Merrill's map is referred to in 1640 as " the lot Macy should have had." Macy was also granted " a home lot joining Isaac Buswell's East," where R. Codman, a later comer, is given on Merrill's map. The lot on the "road to the neck " was not granted till 1642. This makes it still more probable that the first lots laid out were all on the "circular road," as stated on page 9. John Fuller may also have had a lot there which was afterwards exchanged.
Allen Family. [Pages 31-4, 83, 378, 390, 395.]

It was ordered "yt [Ann person ?] the girl's mother take care of her for the future to see that she be placed out in some godly family and in the mean time she re- fraine the company of Goodwif Houldredge & Susan Buswell."

The will and other records require the insertion of (54a) Mary, 4 even igh it seems to involve a second Mary b. bef. the death of the first one. Crase " Mary Bailey may have been a daughter of Mary Jacobs," last line 1. 58.
