" Isack Morrell " is on the passenger list of the ship " Lion," which arrived at Boston, Sept. 16, 1632. His wife and daus. Sarah and Katherine prob. came with him, though their names are not on the list. He was free., 1633; mem- ber of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Co. of Boston, 1638; member 1st chh., Roxbury; constable, 1659; one of the four richest men in Roxbury ; wrote a fine hand, as shown by his sig- natures, " Isaac Morrell." His tombstone, corner Washington and Eustis streets, bears this inscription : "Isaac : MORIL : AGED : 74: YEAR : DYED: 18: 10: 1661:" Will Dec. 15, 1661; Jan. 23, 1661-2, when witnesses testified that they heard him make declaration on the 19th; inv. £683. The " coussine Isaac Mor- rell" to whom he gave his "Anvile," "Smiths Tooles," etc., was prob. his nephew, (2) Isaac2 Morrill, then 15 yrs. old [G. R., 1857, pp. 35-6]. Wid. Sarah d. 1 ABRAHAM1 MORRILL prob. came with his bro. Isaac in the ship " Lion," though his name is not on the list of passengers. If so, he arrived in Sept., 1632. The first mention found of him is Jan., 1632-3, at Cambridge, where he was a proprietor in 1636. He was a member of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Co. of Boston, 1638; fined in 1641, for "seling his servant his time "; a planter, millwright and iron founder. Only four men were taxed a larger amount than he in Salisbury, in 1650; and the sum of the two inventories makes his estate £564 at his death.
2 ISAAC2 MORRILL, selectman, 1693-4; town treasurer and rep., 1696-7 and later ; left much property, including " armour " worth £35, books, etc. Various signatures, 1680-1706, prove that he wrote a fine hand. His father, uncle and himself made many weapons and much armor, iron and metal work of all kinds used in churches and other buildings.
Isaac, whose father d. early, and whose mother m. Bradish ? Bradish would thus be step-father of Ezekiel and husband of the wid. of Isaac's bro.
