Sept. 5th, 1918, received of Um M. Wod. $2000,00 which was immediately placed on interest. I an 11th, 1919, received balance of selling price of farm $17300.00 which is also drawing interest as a deposit. The fund now amounts to 19398.35 in Merchants Just Go Lawrence Mass.
Some of you will remember that at one of the Special Town meetings it was voted That the Treasurer be instructed to invest the net proceeds of the sale of the farm in Registered U.S. Liberty Bonds The reasons for not having followed these instructions as yet are that the last payment coming so near the annual town? meeting'I Thought it wise to await further

The Town Accountant shall receive two hundred dollars a year. The Treasurer shall receive one hundred dollars salary. The Collector of Taxes shall receive one hundred and twenty five dollars salary.
The Highway Surveyors, and the men whom they employ to work on the roads, shall receive forty cents an hour.
The pay for a horse working on the roads, shall be twenty five cents an hour.
The pay for a man and team shall be seven dollars and twenty cents for a day of eight hours. For a yoke of Oxen ; two dollars a day of nine hours.
For a flow and on shore, five cents an hour each.
