"After the decease of my said neice, Mary Ellen Perley, Igive into the hands of the Selectmen of the town of Boxford, then holding said office, and their successors in said office, forever, the sum of Two Thousand Dollars, the same to be known as the 'Sarah P. Perley Fund', the same to be securely invested and the income therefrom to be annually distributed by said Selectmen to the worthy and needy windows and single women residents of the part of said Boxford known as The East Parish."
