Resolved: It is the sense of this meeting of the citizens of Boxford, the beneficiaries of the Barker Free Academy Fund, that the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts be respectfully asked to request from the Trustees of the Barker Free Academy a financial report, covering the period of tenure of office of the senior trustee; and also that the trustees nominate for a third trustee, to be appointed by the Indge of Probate of Essex County, a citizen of Boxford.

Copy I Jonathan Tyler Barker formerly of North Andover in the Country of Essex and Commonwealth of Massachusetts ( now resident in the Town of Antrim in the State of New Hampshire), being weak and feeble in body but of sound and disposing mind, menby, and understanding, have now determined to direct what disposition shall be made of my estate after my 'decease, having maturely considered the subject, do hereby make, publish and declare this to be my my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made.
My will is that after my decease my body shall be decently buried and my just debts and funeral charges be paid out of my estate as soon as may be convenient.
As my brothers and sisters are well. suppyed with property, I have therefore, concluded to give my estate to the benefit of the youth. lover?

I therefore give, devise and bequeath all my estate to establish and support a free school in the west Parish in the Town of Boxford in the said County of Essex. Said school to be located northerly from the west Parish meeting house and as near the house where the late Thomas Hovey formerly lived as may be convenient.
After defraying the expences of building and furnishing a suitable house for said school the remainder of my estate is to be kept in trust and the income thereof is to be appropriated for the benefit and support of said school.

My request is that three trustees be appointed by the Judge of Probate, to receive and take charge of said funds, And I hereby nominate and request that John C. Gage of North Andover be one of the trustees, and that said Gage and my executor Joseph How Esg. of Methuen bounty of Ex aforesaid as nominate the other two. Whenever there may be a vacancy in the board of trustees from death or otherwise the two remaing trustees are to nominate a person to fill the vacancy.
Lastly I nominate and appoint Joseph How Esq. of Methuen County of Essex aforesaid as executor to this my last will and testament.
