Compensation of Town Officers for 1920.


The Town Accountant, shall receive two hundred dollars a year. The Treasurer, shall receive one hundred dollars ayear The Collector of Taxes, shall receive one hundred and seventy five dollars a year.

The Highway Surveyors, and the men whom they employ to work on the roads , shall receive forty cents an hour. The pay for a horse working on the roads, shall be twenty five cents an hour.


The pay for a man and team working on the roads shall be seren dollars and twenty cent, for a day of eight hours.


For a yoke of Oxen, two dollars a day of nine hours. For a plow and ox shovel, fire cents an hour each.


And while pathing snow, the men and teams shall receive the same , as the men and teams employed. on the roads, except the men shoveling know, who shall receive fifty cents an hour.


That all other bills shall be allowed by the Selectmen, except their own bills for services rendered to the Town, these bills must be brought before the Town to be allowed.

Precinct 2.


Record of Precinct Two Town of Boxford. Primary Election. April 27, 1920. In accordance with the requirements of the foregoing warrant, the inhabitants of Precinct Two, Town of Boxford qualified to vote in Primaries met in Lincoln Hall, on Jnesday April 27, 1920. The warrant calling the meeting was readby the Precinct Clerk. The ballot box after being examined by the Precinct Officers and the public was found to be empty, and was immediately locked and the key held by the officer in attendance, the register indicated indicating 000 At seven o'clock and 30 minuter the presiding officer called upon the persons qualified by law to vote in Primaries to give in Their ballots for the purposes expressed in the warrant. At one o'clock 30 in the after- noon the polls were closed, the register indicat- ing 29 The officers in charge of the check lists then proceeded to count the names checked on said lists and found the whole number to be 29


The ballot box was then thened and the ballots taken therefrom and audibly counted one by one in the presence of the precinct officers and the public and the whole number was found to be 29.


The precinct officers then proceeded to count the votes received by each person, with the following result.
