Presidential Primary Election April 29, 1924. Agreeably to the foregoing warrant the value of Precinct I met at the Town Hall.


The meeting was called to order by the Warden, Charles Perley. The reading of the warrant was waived.


The polls were declared open at 7 A. M.


The ballot box was opened and shown to be empty then closed locked and the key placed in the hands of Constable Mighill The polls closed at 1.03 o clock P. M.

Presidential Primary Election April 29, 1924. Record of Precinct Two Town of Boxford. Meeting called to order and warrant read by Precinct Clerk at seven o'clock A.M.


Polls opened at 7:05 oclock A. M. after ballot box had been examined by the Precinct officers and the public and found to be empty.


The box was locked, and the key held by Frank H. Shefford the Constable in attendance, The Ballot box registered 000.


At One oclock and -minutes in the afternoon the polls were closed. the ballot box registered thirty three (33)


The officers in charge of the checklist annon need the number of names checked to be thirty three (33)

At a Special Town Meeting held in the Town Hall, Bofford, Mass. on Tuesday evening, July 29, 1924 at eight o'clock the following record was made, Meeting was called to order and the Warrant read by the Moderator, William K. Cole.

to raise and appropriate a sum, not to exceed 25 per cent of the guarantee of ninety dollars a year for five years; to extend the Electric light service, to the residence of Mrs. Abbie C. Perley.

to raise and appropriate a sum, not to exceed 25 per cent of the guarantee of Three hundred and eighty dollars a year for five years; to extend the Electric Light service to the residence of Leslie L. Ingalls and others

that, for the purpose of reimbursing the treasury for sums paid the country of Essex on account


og of the assessment made on February 6, 1924, to meet the town's share of the cost of the Essex County Tuberculosis Hospital. the treasurer, with the appro- val of the Selectmen, be and hereby is authorized to borrow the sum of $5000.00 as authorized by Chapter 449 of the Acts of 1924, and to issue bonds or notes of the town therefor, said bonds or notes to be payable by the serial method as set forth in Chapter 44 of the General Laws, so that the whole loan shall be paid in not more than ten years from the date of issue of the first bond or note, or at such carlier dates us the treasurer and selectmen may determine.
