State Election. November 7th, 1416. In accordance with the requirements of the foregoing warrants the inhabitants of Precinct 2. town of Boxford qualified to vote in elections and town- affaire met in Lincoln Hall at 10 o'clock A. M. Nov. 7th 1916. The warrant calling the meeting was read by the Check. The Hallot-boy after benig excimin- ed by the Precinct ficere and the Public was found to be empty and was immediately locked and the key taken. and retained by Halter Chadwick the Constable in attendance, in register indica- ting 000. at 10 o clock the presiding officer- called upon the persone qualified by law to give in their ballote for the Purpose expressed in the warrant. at two o'clock and 25 minutes in the afternoon the people were closed, the register indicating, Sixty one. 1

that the compensation of the Highway Surveyors shall be two dollars and fifty cents a day of nine hours, and for the men whom the employ, two dollars and twenty five cents a day of nine hours, and for a man and team, five dollars a day of nine hours. (Making the Compensation for Town Officers and teams etc. as follows for the current year.)


The Treasurer shall receive one hundred dollars. salary, and the Collector of taxes, one hundred dollars, The Highway Surveyors, shall receive two dollars and fifty cents a day of nine hours, while in actual service.
