2. William IV Count of Harnault, Holland, married Lady Aleide Van Demerwede'in 1330, daughter of Lord Geestruidenberg.

3. Daniel born 1339 was made Lord Vanderpoel. Became King of Holland. 4. Gerrit Vanderpoel born 1590, married Cornelia Wynant.

6. Wynant was their son. Vanderpoed Family

Wynant Gerritse Vanderpoel who emigrated to this country in about 1644 was born in Amsterdam in 1620 and died in New York City in 1699. He was residing in Beverwyck (Al- | bany, N. Y.) as early as 1654 and may have been there some years earlier. He resided in Albany until about the year 1694. His father was Gerrit Vanderpoel, of Gorcum, a city of Holland, at the junction of the rivers Meuse (Maas) and Linge, at which city we find members of the family about 1690.

In 1674 Wynant purchased a half- interest in a saw mill on the East Bank of the Hudson river on what is called "Wynant's Kill. This proper- ty he bought of Gertruy Pieterse, wife of Abraham Vosburg.

Wynant married Trintje Melgers. Wynant's wife was a licensed "Broed vrouw." He made two wills, the first in 1694 and the second and last Feb. 25, 1695 as late of Albany, now N. Y.

Wynant was probably interred in the burial ground. adjoining the Dutch Reformed church on Garden street, now Exchange Place, New York City; for, as to the ancient cemetery on Broadway, we learn that in 1677 the fathers of New Amster- dam resolved that "Ye old graveyard. or late burying-place in ye Broad- way, be layed out in four lots of 25 feet front, and sold at auction to ye highest bidder."

And history further informs us that in 1691 the Dutch congregation purchased 180 feet front on the north side of the present Exchange Place, about the middle of the block between Broad and William, streets, and erected therein their new church edifice, with burial ground adjoining. The price paid for the land was 180 pieces of eight, equal to about $250. Children:

2 1 Cornelia married 1684 Cor- nelia Gysbertse Van Der Bergh. 3 II Melgert born 1646 died 1710, married 1 1674 Ariantje Verplanck; ; 2 1692 Elizabeth Van Trecht, widow. 4 III Gatryn Wynantse born 1650,' married 1680 Wm. Gybertse Van Den Bergh.

5 IV Gerrit born 1655 married 1 Catrina Van Zandt; 2 Deborah War- ren. 6 V Margaret married Johanna Van Zandt. 7 VI Wynant Bapt. N. Y. 1690 died infant. 8 VII Wynant bapt. Albany, N. - Y. Oct. 11, 1691.

I have not been able to find any genealogical record of the Cranesville Groots and further than what has been given here. Perhaps some one reading this article will have or know of such a record. It must be noted that the Groots of this particular line changed the spelling to Groat and Groate. John L. Groot had a daughter Mrs. Solomon Pulver Heath of Amsterdam. I lately came across a record of an Edwin Groat of Am- sterdam who married Sarah Conde. They had three childen: Nellie A. WEAVER,

My g-g-g-grandfather Frederick Myers married Anna Margaret Weaver. She was born in 1753, died Nov. 11, 1831, buried in Herkimer but body was moved to Mohawk when cemetery was made into Myers Park. My aunts' record gave her as a daughter of P. J. Weaver and a sister of Nicholas but some one sald that was wrong. She was a daughter of George Weaver. He was a son of Nicholas Weaver. Where can I find the Weaver line and if her father was in service? The name was spell- ed Wever in the Burnetsfield Patent and the family had 400 acres.

Would like information concerning Stoner ancestors. My father's moth- er Mary Ann Stoner, born July 19, 1826 married Harrison W. Sergeant Jan. 7, 1846 and died Nov. 30, 1906, claimed Nicholas Stoner as her "own uncle." I understand that to mean that she was a daughter of John Stoner. On page 90 of "Trappers of Also who was Anna Margaret We- ver or "Weavers" mother ? New York" Simms mentions a daughter and four sons. My father Frederick Myers' mother was Anna remembers his mother, called her Maria Getman. Who were her father ; mother by the name of Susan. Sbe and mother ?

Some one wrote me the Getman family was written up in the Enter- prise and News but I cannot get a copy. If any reader has a copy they would send me so I could copy it and return it, I would appreciate it very much.
