The foregoing division of land in the two foregoing pages made by Nathaniel Baker, Esq. William Osborn and Nathaniel Dominy, Jr., at the time it was done, was entered on a sheet of paper soon after Mr. Huntting's death, and in the year 1770, in Nov. it was reviewed by the aforesaid Nathaniel Dominy, Col. Abraham Gardiner and others, and judged to be right, and they added one or two more clauses to make it plainer. The clauses added were, "note that Samuel Hunt- ting drew but 10 acres &c.," and "N. B., that Samuel Hunt ting, beside what has been specified, holds what was drawn, &c."


The foregoing division of lands were recorded by Burnet Miller, Town Clerk, Nov. 8th, 1770.

these presents shall come, greeting : Know ye that I, Noah Barns, of the town of East-Hampton, &c., yeoman, for and in consideration of the sum of twenty pounds current money, of New-York, to me in hand, paid by Salmon Treat Riche- son, of Stonington, in the county of New London and Colony of Connecticut, yeoman, have granted and sold unto the said Salmon Treat Richeson and his heirs forever, one piece of land containing twenty aeres more or less, lying in the township of East-Hampton, at a place called Elwife Brook Neck, bounded northwardly, by the bay or sound, eastwardly part by the land of Thomas Talmage, and part by the land of Seth Parsons, deceased, southwardly by a highway, and westwardly by the land of John Parsons, to have and to hold the same forever, and do warrant to defend.

To all people to whom these presents shall come, greeting, know ye that I Burnet Miller, of East Hampton, &c., yeoman, for and in considera- tion of the sum of two hundred and fifty pounds to me in hand paid by John Russel, of Bridge Hampton, &c, yeoman, have granted unto the said Russel and his heirs forever, one piece of meadow containing eight acres more or less, lying in Little Northwest neck bounded northwardly by the mead- ow of Elisha Mulford, eastward by a passing highway, south- ward by the meadow of Thomas Mulford, westward by the creek ; and one piece of woodland containing one hundred and ninety acres more or less, lying in little Northwest neck, bounded northward by the land of Thomas Mulford, eastward and westward by passing highways, southward by several lots laid out in the swamp division, to have and to hold the same forever, and warrant and defend.

Cornelius Conkling was chosen supervisor.


Capt. Isaac Barns was chosen collector, for which office he gives £9-0-0 to be paid in the town rate and to gather the town rate for the same on the pound as other rates.


David Edwards and Henry Dayton were chosen fence viewers.


Having finished the business of the day we adjourn to the first Tuesday in April, A. D. 1763.
