(Abstract.)-To all Christian people to whom these presents shall come, greeting, know ve that I, Daniel Leek of East-Hampton, &c., yeoman, and also that I, Hannah Leek, wife of the said Daniel Leek, for and in con- sideration of the sum of five hundred pounds current money of New-York, to usin hand paid by Icabod Leek of East-Hampton, &c. yeoman, have granted and sold unto the said Icabod Leek and his heirs forever, several tracts and parcels of land hereafter mentioned. One tract containing by estimation twenty-five acres more or less being in the township of South-

One parcel of land in the township aforesaid containing twenty six acres by estimation, be it more or less, bounded by a highway to the westward, by a beach to the southward, by the land of John Pierson to the westward, and by the land of Thomas Chatfield to the eastward, and all our lands, tene- ments, meadow, priviliges in commons and right in Meantauk except the one sixteenth part of a share in Meantauk lying and being in the township of East-Hampton aforesaid, and all our right in the commons in the township of Southampton aforesaid that was given by Joseph Stretton formerly of East- Hampton, deceased, in his last will and testament to his daughter Hannah Jessup also deceased. the natural mother of the aforesaid Hannah Leek, to have and to hold the same for- ever, and do warrant.

Book A, page 37 .- The proprietors of East-Hampton be- ing met and assembled together May the 13th 1736, and did then agree by major vote that Lewis Conklingshall, have hold, and enjoy two pieces of land, to him, his heirs and assigns for- ever, to say, one piece at Acabonick landing place, containing three quarters of one acre be it more or less as it is now within the said Conkling's his land and fence, and the other parcel con- taining three quarters of one acre as it is now fenced, be it more or less joining to his land at the brick-bills and on the right hand of the path as men go to the brick-kills.
Now for and in consideration of the land as abovesaid the said Lewis Conkling doth restgn up and quit himself and his heirs of all his right, title and propriety that he hath by virtue of his fathers grant to him of any meadow land in the

place called the calf-pasture and neck which is now in the possession of Mr. Hunting, I say I quit all right in the same as abovesaid to the proprietors of East-Hampton forever.

Book A, page 563 .- Know all men by these presents that I, Daniel Miller of East-Hampton do for myself my heirs and assigns forever herafter, do now allow and agree with Thomas Talmage of said town that he the said Thomas Talmage his heirs and assigns shall forever hereafter at any time and at all times as he or ther may have occasion to pass and repass through my land in Acabonick Neck down to his meadow to cut, secure and cart his hay from his meadow as he or they may have occasion, hethe said Talmage, his heirs and assigns always put up the bars or fence when and where he or they shall go through to go down to his meadow.
The abovesaid was agreed on by the said Daniel Miller and Thomas Talmage on the firat day of Jnne Anno Dom 1736, and ordered to be entered in this book.

highways in the township of East. Hampton did on the 3rd day of June in the year of 1736, lay out the second highways within the town abovesaid as under written.
First-One highway to begin on the highway that runs to the northward of Aron Fithian's close down to the Hand's creek, to say, to the head of Hand's creek, and so to continue to the southwest corner of Samuel Parsons his land or close at or near the harbor, and so to run by the end of Parsons his close. to the Three Mile Harbor, and so across the beach to the sound, and to the said harbor's mouth, the said highway to consist of four rods wide to be and lie a highway forever.
And also one highway to begin at the head of Hand's Creek meadow and so to run on a straight line towards Aylewife brook until it comes to a swamp and then to run southwards of and around some part of said swamp until it comes into said straight line and then to continue in said line to Ayle- wife Brook, the said highway to consist of four rods wide and to be and remain a highway forever on the south side of the brook until it comes to Northwest bay or harbor.
And also one highway to begin 45 poles or rods home wards of the parting of the paths at a place called Mile Hill from Northwest landing place, and to run from Nortwest path to to the southwest corner of the 16th lot of land to be laid out which land in already surveyed and lying in Aylewife brook neck, the said highway to consist of fonr rods wide and to be and remain a highway forever.
And also one highway to begin at the highway thatruns down to Northwest landing place, to turn out at the Mile Hill and so to run northerly by and to the corner of William Barnes his meadow to the bank where the whale was tried by Northwest Bay, and from thence a passing highway to and over Ayle- wife Brook and so to continue to the point of Cedar Beach, the said highway to consist of four rods wide from North- west path down to Barne's meadow and to the place where

the whale was tried, and from thence to Cedar point only for a passing way. The said highway to consist of four rods wide and to be and remain a highway forever as abovesaid.
And also one highway laid out to begin or turn out of the the Fireplace highway about ten rods southward of a little house owned by Daniel Miller and others, said highway to lie between the fourth and fifth lot to be laid out in that neck, and so to run to the head of the of Hog Creek, and then to run northerly as the fence runs that the fences in Hog Creek meadow to Jonathan King's his land and Daniel Miller's land and then to run eastwardly by the end or front of said King's and Miller's land to the Fireplace highway against William Hedges' a little slanting southerly to come to the Fireplace highway, the said highway to consist of four rods wide and to be and remain a highway forever.
And also one highway laid out to turn out of the highway last abovesaid to begin at the southwesterly corner of Daniel Miller's land, and so to run down to the Flaggy Hole on the east side of said hole down to the bay or Sound, and to be four rods wide, and to be and remain a highway forever.
The highway that runs northerly by Hog creek is to lie on the eastwardly side of the fence that fences in any part or parts of the said meadow.

meadow in little Northwest Neck, consisting of three rods wide to begin at the head of the Red Springs swamp to run as the path now runs to the southeast corner of Daniel Day- tou's land, and from thence along by the land and meadow already laid out on the west side of said neck down to the bay or harbor, and to turn from the said Dayton's corner southwesterly along by Thomas Mulford's meadow so far as John Talmage's bars where he goeth into his meadow; the abovesaid to be and remain a highway forever as abovesaid.
And also one passing highway for men to go to and from their meadow on the east side of Little Northwest neck to begin at the head of the Red Spring swamp, and to run northerly joining to the land and meadows already laid out to a swamp that puts out westward into said neck, and so going round the swamp so far as to get into or joining to the said meadow or land laid out, and so to run as the path now runs through Eliphelet Stretton's land down to the beach and harbor or bay. the last abovesaid highway to consist of three rods wide and to be and remain a highway forever.

Book G, page 150 .- To all people to whom these presents . shall come, greeting, know ye that whereas on the sixth day of April last Annoq. d 1736, it being our election day, it was agreed on by a unanimous vote of the tenants in common of the undivided land of the Town of East-Hampton, that there shall be a division of land on our north side of ten acres to one acre commonage and that said division and management be acted by the trustees as by said vote my more plainly appear, and for as much as the major part of said tenants in common did by a writing under their hands agree that the trustees for the time being shall sell some pieces and skirts of land to de- fray the charges of the said division, therefore we the trustees of the freeholders and commonalty of the town of East-Hamp- ton for the time being have and by virtue of these presents do sell, alienate, convey, and confirm all the several pieces and slips of land hereafrer to be expressed unto the several men hereafter to be named, and their several heirs and assigns for- ever; for and in consideration of the sum of thirty and eight shillings to us the said trustees in hand already paid by Jere- miah Mulford of said town, yeoman, we the aforesaid trustees have and by virtue of these presents have sold, conveyed and confirmed unto the said Jeremiah Mulford and to his heirs and assigns, one slip of land now within his fence, lying along by the highway that goes from the Springs to the corner of Lewis Conkling's close containing about two acres, and all the upland between his meadow and the fence on the east side of Acabonick.
