Now we laid out two lots on the southwest side of Sag- Harbor path, namely, the lots 46 and 47; then we laid out a highway 4 poles wide on the southeast ends of the lots.


The 46th lot, Theophilus Wilman, 324 acres and 10 poles, bounded northwestwardly by John Terry's land, northeast- wardly by Sag-Harbor highway, southeastwardly by the heirs of Jeremiah Conkling, and southwestwardly by a highway. To the heirs of Jeremiah Conkling, deceased, 323 acres and 30 poles, bounded northwestwardly by Theophilus Wilman, northeastwardly by Sag-Harbor highway, southeastwardly by by John Hedges, Lemuel Hedges and Robert Leeke, and southwestwardly by a highway.


The 47th lot, John Hedges, 30 acres ; Lemuel Hedges, 30 acres ; Robert Leeke, 5 acres ; all together bounded north- westwardly by Jeremiah Conkling, Jr., northeastwardly by Sag-Harbor highway, southeastwardly by common land, and southwestwardly by a highway.

Page 372 .- The record of the additions of land laid out that we the layers out laid so some lots, to make them equal one with another ; and whereas some lots had not their pro- portion in the lots they have it in the additions, as may ap- pear by this record.


The first addition, Capt. Mathias Burnet, six acres south- ward of the path that goeth to Abraham's landing, bounded eastwardly and southwardly by common land, westwardly by the third addition that David Conkling, John Edwards and Joseph Hicks drew, and northwardly by that highway that goeth to a place known by the name of Abraham's landing.


The second addition is near to the northwardly brick kills, or the place known by the name of the old brick kills. It contains four acres, bounded northwardly, eastwardly and southwardly by laid-out land, and westwardly by common land ; drawn by Elias Mulford.


The third addition David Conkling, John Edwards and Joseph Hicks drew all together. Sixteen acres lying on the south side of the highway that goes to Abraham's Landing, bounded northwardly by the said highway to Abraham's Landing, eastwardly by Capt. Burnet's land, southwardly by common land, and westwardly by -

triangular form; bounded westwardly by old Accabonac highway, northeastwardly by the heirs of John Wheler, and southwardly by a highway that goes from Amagansett to the head of Three Mile harbor, callled Abraham's path.


The 6th and 7th lots have no addition.


The 8th addition lies on the east side of Fireplace path. Drawn by John Parsons the 4th, John Conkling and Nathan Miller. It contains 15 acres ; bounded northwardly by Tim- othy Mulford's lot, eastwardly by the ninth addition that Be- riah Dayton drew, southwardly by common lard, and west- wardly by the Fireplace highway.


The 9th addition lies on the west side of old Accabonac path and contains 15 acres ; drawn by Beriah Dayton, Rob- ert More, Daniel Leek, Eliakim Conkling and the heirs of Capt. Talmage ; the heirs of said Talmage are to take thirteen poles of land, it being because they had none in the lot ; take all that two poles of commonage drawn in that division in the said 9th addition. The rest of the said addition Beriah Day- ton, Robert More, Daniel Leek and Eliakim Conkling take according to their right in commonage. The said addition is bounded northwardly by Timothy Mulford's lot, eastwardly by the old highway to Accabonac, southwardly by common land, and westwardly by the eighth addition that John Par- sons the 4th drew.


The tenth addition lies on the east side of the old Accabon- ac highway near Stony hill; the heirs of Samuel Gardiner, deceased, eleven and one-half acres, bounded northwardly by Accabonac old highway, southwardly by the 7th lot that Isaac Mulford, Doctor Hunting and Samuel Russill drew, eastward- ly by Lewis Conkling's land, and northeastwardly by Timo- thy Mulford's land.


The eleventh addition lies adjoining to Accabonac highway northwardly of the 10th addition. Timothy Mulford thirteen and one-half acres; bounded westwardly by Accabonac old

highway, northwardly by a highway that goes from the Acca- bonac highway to the highway that goes from Amagansett to Accabonac, eastwardly by Lewis Conkling's land, and south . wardly by the land of the heirs of Samuel Gardiner.


The 12th lot has no addition.


The 13th addition lies on the west side of the Fireplace highway and contains eleven and three- quarter acres ; drawn by Samuel Hudson, Daniel Osborn and Henry Hudson. Sam- uel Hudson 104 acres and 15 poles, bounded northwardly by the land of Daniel Osborn, Jr., east wardly by the Fireplace highway, southwardly by common land, and westwardly by Samuel Parsons. Daniel Osborn, Jr., one-half acre and 36 poles, bounded northwardly by Henry Hudson, eastwardly by Fireplace highway, southwardly by Samuel Hudson's land and westwardly by Samuel Parsons' land. Henry Hudson 98 poles of land, bounded northwardly by the 17th lot, eastward- ly by the Fireplace path, southwardly by the land of Daniel Osborn, Jr., and westwardly by Samuel Parsons' land.


The 14th addition lies about half way or midway between Hudson's round swamp close and Fi.eplace path, and contains 1S acres. Samuel Parsons has 62 acres and 272 poles, bound- ed northwardly by the 17th lot, eastwardly by the 13th ad- dition, southwardly by common land, and westwardly by Robert Parson's land. Robert Parsons 11 acres and 12} poles, bounded northwardly by the 17th lot, eastwardly by Samuel Parsons, southwardly by common land, and west- wardly by Thomas Dibble's land.


The 15th addition lies in two places, viz :- one piece con- taining 12 acres on the back side of Hudson's round swamp close and the other piece at springing banks; and Jeremiah Mulford, Charles Glover, Mr. Nathaniel Hunting and Mr. Thomas Chatfield drew 104 acres adjoining to the round swamp close, bounded northwardly by the 17th lot, eastward- ly by Thomas Dibble, southwardly by common land, and

westwardly by Samuel Hudson's round swamp close. And 13 acres more at springing banks, bonnded northwardly by a wide highway, eastwardly by the banks or cliff, southwardly by Thomas Dibble, and westwardly by a highway. And Thomas Dibble drew 12 acres of land in this by the round swamp, bounded northwardly by the 17th lot, eastwardly by Robert Parsons, southwardly by common land, and west- wardly by Jeremiah Mulford. Thomas Dibble drew two acres more at springing banks, bounded northwardly by Jere- miah Mulford and his partners, eastwardly by the bank, southwardly by Jeremiah Conkling, and westwardly by a highway.


The 16th addition, containing 14 acres, lies towards North- west swamp. In it Daniel Osborn and Daniel Osborn, Jr., and Daniel Edwards drew 9 acres and 22 poles, bounded east- wardly by Daniel Leek's land, southwardly by Aron Fithian's land, westwardly by a highway, and northwardly by the land of the heirs of William Barnes ; and the heirs of William Barnes drew 42 acres and 18 poles of land in a triangular form, bounded northwardly partly by Daniel Leek's land and partly by Nathaniel Dominy's land, eastwardly by Daniel Osborn's land, and westwardly by a highway.


Page 382 .- The 17th addition was drawn by Aron Fith- ian, Jeremiah Conkling, Jane Conkling and Benjamin Leeke. It is in two pieces ; one piece at springing banks, and Jere- miah Conkling drew for his part 34 acres of land ; Jane Conk- ling drew & of an acre of land, both making four acres, and bounded northwardly by Thomas Dibble, eastwardly by a highway, southwardly by common land, and westwardly by a highway. The other piece of land. added to the 17th lot lies towards Northwest two holes of water, containing nearly 16 acres, of which Aron Fithian drew 102 acres, bounded northwardly by Daniel Edwards' land, eastwardly by Thomas and John Stretton's land, southwardly by Benjamin Leek's

land, and westwardly by a highway. Then Benjamin Leeke drew 1} acres and 6 poles of land, bounded northwardly by Aron Fithian, eastwardly by John Stretten, southwardly by Jane Conkling, and westwardly by a 6 pole highway. Then Jane Conkling drew three acres and three-quarters of land, bounded northwardly by Benjamin Leeke, eastwardly by John Stretten, southwardly by John Mulford's land, and westwardly by a 6 pole highway.


The 18th addition adjoins the lot bounded southwardly by Daniel Miller's land, eastwardly by common land running partly around it and bounded partly by common land, east- wardly by common land, westwardly by the highway that adjoins the line. It contains 11} acres and was drawn by John Hand, all of it, and so he has but 162 acres of the lot. In all John Hand's land is 28 acres.


The 19th addition and lot join together, all drawn by Jo- siah Miller by reason that David Edwards had all his right on the homeward side of the lot. The said addition contains 22 acres, bounded southwardly by said 19th lot, eastwardly by a highway that goes to the west side of the harbor, northward- ly by the 20th addition or Mr. Eleazer Miller's land, and westwardly by the middle highway that is six poles wide.


The 20th addition lies near Capt. Baker's close at the west side of the harbor ; drawn by Mr. Eleazer Miller and contains 19 acres; bounded northwardly by the 21st addition that Stephen Hedges drew, eastwardly by the highway that goes to the west side of the harbor, southwardly by Josiah Miller's land, and westwardly by the middle highway.


The 21st addition lieth westward of Three Mile Harbor, containing 21 acres, drawn by Stephen Hedges, the heirs of Capt. Talmage, John Parsons the 4th, Cornelius Conkling, Daniel Osborn, Jr., and John Talmage, bounded northwardly by a cross highway, eastwardly by the harbor highway, southwardly by Mr. Eleazer Miller's land, and westwardly by the middle highway.

The 22d addition lieth a little westward of springing banks containing 25 acres, drawn by Joseph Osborn, bounded north- wardly by Capt. Burnett's land, eastwardly by the highway that goeth to Nathaniel Dominy's land, southwardly and west- wardly by highways.


The 23d addition, Nathaniel Dominy draws two acres and Nathaniel Dominy, Jr. draws seven acres, because he had nothing in the lot, both together 9 acres, bounded northward- ly by the 36th lot Icabod Leek, &c. drew, eastwardly by common land, southwardly by Northwest highway, and westwardly by Lion Gardiner's and John Davis' land.


The 24th addition lyeth on the south side of Sag-Harbor path, about 30 chains eastward of Buck's kill, containing 16 acres. Thomas Mulford drew 104 acres and 27 poles of land, bounded northwardly by Sag-Harbor highway, eastwardly by William Hedges' land, and southwardly by common land, and westwardly by William Osborn's land. William Hedges and William Hedges, Jr., 5} acres and 13 poles of land, bounded northwardly by Sag-Harbor highway, eastwardly by common land, southwardly by common land, and westwardly by Thomas Mulford.


The 25th addition lyeth on the south side of Sag-Harbor path, homeward of Buck's kill. William Osborn, 124 acres 20 poles of land, bounded northwardly by Sag-Harbor high- way, eastwardly by Thomas Mulford's land, southwardly by common land, and westwardly by John Mulford's land. 5} acres of land, bounded northwardly by Sag-Harbor highway, eastwardly by William Osborn's land, southwardly by com- mon land, and westwardly by that land that fell to James Hand and he laid it down and had some nearer Wainscott in lieu of it.

The 27th addition lyeth towards Hand's creek ; it contains 11 acres; it is Capt. Matthias Burnet's land. The said 11 acres are bounded northwardly by 4 pole wide highway, east- wardly by the 28th addition, southwardly by a highway that is 6 poles wide, and westwardly by common land.


The 28th addition drawn by Seth Parsons, John Parsons and Noah Barns. It lyeth towards Hand's creek, it contains 10 acres, bounded northwardly by a highway, eastwardly by Capt. Nathaniel Baker's land, southwardly by a highway and westwardly by Capt. Burnet's land.


The 29th addition lieth adjoining to the 28th ; the said 29th was drawn by Capt. Nathaniel Baker; it contains 11 acres, bounded northwardly, eastwardly and southwardly all by highways, and westwardly by the 28th addition.


The 30th addition, 62 acres of land, drawn by Mr. Nathan- iel Huntting. It lieth nigh the harbor, bounded northwardly and eastwardly by Ny Nathaniel Dominy's land, southwardly by Samuel Parsons' land, and westwardly by a highway.


The 31st addition, John Stretten, John Dayton, John Squier and Samuel Hedges drew, it lyeth a little westward of Samuel Dayton's Northwest close, it contains 10 acres. It is bounded northwardly by Henry Dayton's land, northeast- wardly by the 36th addition, southeastwardly by a highway about 12 poles wide, and southwestwardly by a passing road that joins to Samuel Hedges' land.


The 32d addition Thomas Talmage drew it all because Lion Loper and Samuel Hedges had all their part Fin the lot, and so three acres in the addition fell to Thomas Talmage ; bounded northwardly by the 36th lot that Icabod Leek drew, eastwardly and southwardly by common land, and westward- ly by Nathaniel Dominy's and Nathaniel Dominy, Jr.'s land, the said addition lyeth nigh Mr. Samuel Hudson's Northwest close.

Page 392-The 33d Thomas Chatfield drew this addition. It contains 3 acres. It lies nigh Northwest closes on the north- west side of the highway, bounded northwardly by Henry Dayton's land, eastwardly by common land, southwardly and eastwardly by the highway to Northwest, southwestwardly by Capt. Matthias Mulford's land.


The 34th addition joins to the 32d. It was drawn by Capt. Matthias Mulford. It contains 5 acres, bounded north- east by Mr. Thomas Chatfield's land, southeastwardly by a highway that is 6 poles on that side of the path, southwest- wardly by Cornelius Conkling's land, and northwestwardly by Henry Dayton.


The 35th addition lieth just beyond Northwest closes. It contains 5 acres. Cornelius Conkling drew 34 acres and 34 poles of land, bounded northwardly by Henry Dayton's lot, northeastwardly by Capt. Mulford's land, southeastwardly by a very wide highway, and southwestwardly by the heirs of Capt. Gardiner's land.


The heirs of Capt. Samuel Gardiner 1} acres and 6 poles of land, bounded northwestwardly by Henry Dayton's land, northeastwardly by Cornelius Conkling, southeastwardly by a very wide highway, and southwestwardly by the 36th ad- dition that Icabod Leek, Samuel Parsons and John Stretton drew.


The 36th addition joins to the 35th. It contains five acres drawn by Icabod Leek, Samuel Parsons, John Stretton, Jr., all together, bounded northwestwardly by Henry Dayton's land, northeastwardly by the heirs of Capt. Saml. The 38th addition lies adjoining to Daniel Osborn's lot towards Northwest. It contains 16 acres and was drawn by Mr. Nathaniel Hunting. It is bounded northwardly by Ann Barber, eastwardly by Daniel Osborn's land, south wardly and westwardly by highways.


The 39th addition lies back of Daniel Osborn's lot. It con- tains 28 acres and Samuel Hedges drew 102 acres and 3 poles of land ; bounded northwardly by Henry Dayton's land, east- wardly by Daniel Osborn's lot, southwardly by William and Eleazer Edwards' land, and westwardly by a highway 6 poles wide. William Edwards and Ebenezer Edwards drew 12 & acres and 27 poles of land, bounded northwardly by Samuel Hedges' land, eastwardly by Daniel Osborn's land, southward- ly by Mr. Hunting's land, and westwardly by a highway Ann Barber 44 acres and 9 poles of land, bounded northward- ly by William Edwards' and Ebenezer Edwards' land, east- wardly by Daniel Osborn's land, southwardly by Mr. Nathan- iel Hunting's land, and westwardly by highways.


The 40th addition addition lies on the west side of Daniel Osborn's lot, that is, on the west side of Northwest path. It contains 28 acres, of which Nathan Dayton drew 102 acres and 36 poles of land, bounded northwardly by John Mulford's land, eastwardly by John Stretton's land, southwardly by Isaac Hedges' land, and westwardly by a highway. Isaac Hedges 6 acres and 8 poles of land, bounded northwardly by Nathaniel Dayton's land, eastwardly by the land of John Stretten, Jr., southwardly by Henry Dayton's land, and west- wardly by a highway. Henry Dayton drew 102 acres and 36 poles of land, bounded northwardly by Israc Hedges' land, eastwardly by Daniel Osborn's land, southwardly by Samuel

Page 40 .- The 41st addition was drawn by Major John Merry, Samuel Mulford, Mr. Thomas Chatfield, John Talmage and William Hedges all together. The addition lies a little beyond Thomas Talmage's close on the north side of Sag- Harbor path. It contains 20 acres, bounded northwestward- ly by William Hedges' lot, northeastwardly by a middle high- way, southeastwardly by common land, and southwestwardly by Sag Harbor highway.


The 42d addition James Hand drew it all, and so had none in the lot. The said addition he laid down and took up land nearer home. It lay in the crotch of the paths by buckkiln.


The 43d addition was drawn by Joseph Conkling, Edward Jones and Thomas Fyler. It contains 15 acres and lies be- yond the tan creek ; bounded all around by common land.


The 44th addition lies on the northwest side of Sag Harbor highway near wolf's hole. Daniel Osborn and John Penny drew it all. Daniel Osborn 92 acres, bounded northwesterly by common land, northeastwardly by Sag Harbor highway, southeastwardly by John Terry's land, and southwestwardly by a highway. John Terry 34 acres, bounded northwest- wardly by Daniel Osborn, northeastwardly by Sag Harbor highway, southeastwardly by the 46th lot, and southwest- wardly by a highway.


The 45th addition lies on the southeast side of Sag Harbor path near the deep hollow. It contains 17 acres, and Wil- liam Hedges drew it. It is bounded northwestwardly and northeastwardly by common land, southeastwardly by a cross highway, and southwestwardly by the Sag Harbor highway.


The 46th addition lies towards Georgica pines. It contains 18 acres and was drawn by Jeremiah Conkling, deceased, and

Theophilus Wilman ; bounded northwestwardly by the 47th addition, northeastwardly by a highway, southeastwardly and southwestwardly by common land.


The 47th addition lies near Georgica pines. John Hedges, Lemuel Hedges and Robert Leek 20 acres all together. Bounded northwestwardly by common land, northeastwardly by a highway, southeastwardly by the 46th addition, and southwestwardly by common land.


Book E, page 40} .- Pursuant to a major vote of the pro- prictors, bearing date February 6th, 1739-40, wherein the trustees of the freeholders and commonalty of the town of East Hampton were empowered to lay out divisions of land in this town as the said trustees shall think fit, and after they had accomplished a division of land, consisting of five acres of land to one acre of common, they proceeded to lay out an- other division, consisting of five acres of land to one acre of commonage, and for the performance of the said division the said trustees did order and appoint Jeremiah Mulford, Dan- iel Dayton and Nathaniel Dominy, Junior, to lay out the said divisions and such highways as they shall think conven- ient for every man to come at his land.
