Then we proceeded to the fifth tract of land that lies between the harbor highway and Aylewife brook highway ; in the first place we allowed the harbor highway to be about 16 poles wide on the west side of the path until it comes to the round swamp at the parting of the paths, and then that path that goes to Dominy's land to be three poles on each side of the path as far as to the land that Nathaniel Dominy bought of the town, or to Capt. Burnet's land ; then we laid out Ayle- wife brook highway three poles wide on each side of the path throughout this division ; then we laid out a middle highway six poles wide upon a straight line from Mr. Thomas Chat- field's sandy hook close running to Isaac Mulford's land ; then we laid out a cross highway six poles wide running from the harbor highway to Aylewife brook highway, about 90 poles southward of John Hand's land : then we laid out another cross highway from the middle highway running along by Isaac Mulford's land and John Hand's land to Aylewife brook highway four poles wide.

Page 342 .- Then we began on the 7th tract of land lying between Northwest highway and Sag Harbor highway, we laid out Sag Harbor highway 6 poles wide ; then we laid out a highway four poles wide on the south side of Samuel Hed- ges' land and so to run with that path, and as it is staked out to the two holes of water, and so along on the south side of the said holes to the path that goeth along by Northwest swamp; then we laid out a highway 6 poles wide, going out of Northwest highway a little homeward of Cobler's hill, running along by Daniel Osborn's lot to the corner, then run- ning north 472 degrees west to Sag Harbor highway ; then we allowed the path called the Bull path to be a passing road along by the northwest end of Samuel Hedges and John Day- ton's land, to the two holes of water path ; then to keep the path until it comes nigh Daniel Osborn's lot, then running south ward of Daniel Osborn's lot to the path again, then to keep the path to the end of it, and there is a path that turns out of Sag-Harbor path on a hill in the 45th lot so running northward; and another path that turns out of Sag Harbor path against a place called Bucks kill, running northward ; both these paths last mentioned is to remain for passing roads throughout this 5 acre division. Then we laid out these 9 lots, viz : 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44 and 45, in two ranges, one range joining to northwest highway, 4 lots ; the other range joining to Sag Harbor highway, 5 lots.
