At the Annual and Special Town Meetings, all of the appropriations made may be found in the Town Account- ant's Report and Assessors' Report taken from an at- tested list made by the Town Clerk.


It was VOTED UNANIMOUSLY, under Article 1, That the Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, be authorized to borrow money from time to time, in an- ticipation of revenue of the financial year, January 1 to December 31, 1932, both dates inclusive, and to issue a note or notes therefor, and the indebtedness incurred by reason of the issuance of said note or notes to be pro- vided for from the revenue of said financial year, January 1, to December 31, 1932.


It was VOTED UNANIMOUSLY, under Article 2, That the Town will vote to authorize the Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, to refund any and all of

the revenue notes issued in anticipation of revenue of the year 1932, in accordance with the provisions of Section 17, of Chapter 44 of the General Laws, any debt so in- curred to be paid from the revenue of 1932.


It was VOTED, under Article 3, that the Highway and Water Departments work in conjunction with the Board of Public Welfare and that all able-bodied men who apply to the Board of Public Welfare for assistance be referred to either of the above departments for work, and that the above departments give work to above appli- cants, insofar as is possible, in preference to others; should any applicant either decline to accept work or not give a day's work for a day's pay, such applicant shall be deprived of aid by the Board of Public Welfare.


It was VOTED, under Article 8, that laborers em- ployed by the Town be compensated as follows :


All labor, both day and night be paid sixty (60) cents per hour. All horses fifty (50) cents per hour.


It was VOTED, under Article 15, that the office of Town Auditors be abolished under the Provisions of Chapter 41, Section 55 of the General Laws.


It was VOTED, under Article 16, that the Selectmen be authorized to petition the Director of Accounts to have the Town Accounts audited yearly by State Auditors.


Article 19. To see if the Town will vote to accept building lines as established on Main Street by the Plan- ning Board.


VOTED: That all action under this article be post- poned until the 1933 Annual Town Meeting.

ADJOURNED ANNUAL TOWN MEETING May 9, 1932


It was VOTED, under Article 8, that none but citi- zens of the Town of Randolph be employed on any town labor.


It was VOTED, under Article 22, to accept as a Town' Way, CASTLETON AVENUE, as laid out by the Select- men.


It was VOTED, under Article 23, to accept DRUID HILL AVENUE, as laid out by the Selectmen, a distance of two hundred (200) feet from the 1931 acceptance (726 feet) .


Under Article 24, a motion to accept GORDON STREET was voted in the negative.


It was VOTED, under Article 25, to accept as a Town Way, INTERVALE TERRACE, as laid out by the Selectmen.


It was VOTED, under Article 26, to accept RUSS STREET, as laid out by the Selectmen, a distance of seven hundred and fifty (750) feet from the end of prop- erty of Mr. Burns.


It was VOTED, under Article 27, to accept WIL- MARTH ROAD, as laid out by the Selectmen, a distance of nine hundred and fifty (950) feet from Mill Street.


ADJOURNED ANNUAL TOWN MEETING June 6, 1932


At this meeting, at which there was not a quorum present, it was voted that it be the sense of this meet- ing that an article be placed in the next Annual Town

NINETY-SEVENTH ANNUAL REPORT


Meeting Warrant to amend the by-laws to reduce the number required for a quorum to two hundred.


The Selectmen, at their meeting held in the Town Hall on March 21st, voted unanimously to accept the pro- visions of Chapter 94 of the Acts of 1932, an act providing for advance payments on account of taxes for the cur- rent year in certain cities and towns.

Pursuant to a Warrant issued by the Selectmen, dated April 4, 1932 and duly posted by Patrick T. Mc- Donnell, Constable, the voters of Randolph assembled at Stetson Hall this twenty-sixth day of April, 1932.


The polls were declared open for the reception of bal- lots at four o'clock P. M. At eight o'clock the polls were closed, 361 ballots having been cast; Democratic, 311- Republican, 50.


The ballots were sorted and counted and declaration of the result made at 9.40 o'clock P. M.

Pursuant to a Warrant issued by the Selectmen and dated the Twenty-fourth day of October, A. D. 1932, duly posted by Patrick T. McDonnell, Constable, the voters of Randolph assembled in Stetson Hall for Precinct 1, and North Randolph Improvement Association Hall for Precinct 2.


Returns were made to the Town Clerk from Precinct 1. at 5.45 P. M .; from Precinct 2 at 6.30 P. M.


The vote was tabulated by the Town Clerk and dec- laration of the results was made at 6.55 o'clock P .M.
