ADJOURNED ANNUAL TOWN MEETING, MARCH 15, 1937
ARTICLE 22. VOTED: 258 Affirmative-7 negative, that the town erect and originally equip and furnish a new four room school building in the section of the Town known as Tower Hill, at an expense not to exceed $34,000.00 provided that the town secure 45 per cent of said appropriation, amounting to $15,300.00 from the Federal Government on P. W. A. Grant, and to meet the Town's share of said appropriation the Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen be and hereby is authorized to borrow the sum of $20,000. and to issue bonds or notes of the Town therefor, under authority of and in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 404

of the Acts of 1935, as amended, said bonds or notes to be payable in not more than twenty years at such term and maximum rate of interest as may be fixed by the Emergency Finance Board.
All moneys received by way of grant from the Fed- eral Government on account of this project shall be applied first to meet the cost of construction and orig- inally equiping thereof (including preliminary expenses), and any balance thereof shall be applied to the pay- ment of the loan herein authorized.
The selectmen are hereby authorized and directed to accept on behalf of the Town an offer of the United States of America to aid in financing the construction of said project by making a grant of money to the Town, and a committee of eight composed of the School Com- mittee and the Selectmen are authorized to proceed with the construction of said project and enter into all nec- essary and proper contracts and agreements in respect . thereto, all subject to applicable Federal Regulations; and the Selectmen and the School Committee are auth- orized to do all other acts and things necessary or con- venient for obtaining said grant, for making said loan, and for constructing said project.

VOTED: To abandon that portion of Canton Street, as a Town way, a parcel lying between a point about 1900 feet easterly and a point 2300 feet easterly of the Randolph-Canton Town line, where it crosses Canton Street, said parcel of land now lying on the northerly side of Canton Street, as laid out by the Norfolk County Commissioners by return dated November 28, 1922.

VOTED: That the Moderator appoint a committee to look into the advisability of accepting zoning and building laws for the town and report their findings at the next annual town meeting, said com- mittee to include the members of the Planning Board; the size of the committee to be left to the best judg- ment of the Moderator.
ARTICLE 1. VOTED: That the sum of $500.00 be transferred from W. P. A. to the Board of Assessors, for maps and plans.

A. ex- penses, and to meet said appropriation that the Treas- urer, with the approval of the Selectmen, be and hereby is authorized to borrow $20,000.00 under the provisions of Chapter 107 of the Acts of 1937. Said loan shall be due and payable in not more than ten years or at such earlier date as the Treasurer and Selectmen shall de- termine.
