He was Constable and Coll. in 1728, being the first chosen by the town after its incorporation. . He was Selectman in 1729, one or both, must have o.b.c. but the record is lost. (Son of 129) b. m. (In. 21 May 1763) Sarah Wetherbee ( ?) b. 17 Nov.1742. They lived here perhaps with his Father. He was a member of the companies of "Minute men" which marched to Lexington and Concord, and he was at the battle of Bunker Hill. He was Constable and Coll. in 1777. Did this family remove to Rindge, N.H .? Her brothers went there, but I know nothing more of them. Chil .:
1. Sarah b. 20 Apr. 1766 Sally Dodge, an adult, o.b.c. and was bapt. 17 June 1798. Was it this Sarah?

(Son of 117) b. 11 Feb.1734-5, m. (In. 18 Mar.1758) Sarah Smith of Ipswich. I do not know where they lived. He r.b. c. 20 May 1759. Both were ad.f.c. 7 June 1767. I do not know where they went to from here. A man of the name was a soldier from Westminster, during the Revolution, but I am not at all certain this was the same. Chil .:
1. John Smith b. 22 Apr.bapt. 15 Mar.1761. I give the date of birth as recorded, but it must be wrong, as will be seen by the date of baptism.
2. Hannah b. 30 June 1763, no record of bapt.
3. Sarah b. 3 bapt.11 ~ug. 1765.
4. Eunice b. 11 Sept. bapt. 4 Oct.1767.

She d. suddenly, - was found dead in a closet, on her knees, where she had retired to pray, 23 May 1830, 81-4-24. (2) 1 dau. he m. (2d) (In. 2 Vct.1830) Mrs. Sarah Parker of Groton, her 3rd m. He d. 21 Mar.1843, 89-7-13 (N) 91 on s-s. che d. in Groton. One dau .:
