They came to this town soon after they were m. and lived on the Lancaster road at (128) He and his brother John were canners besides carrying on large farms. He was School Committee 1778,84, '7, '9, '90, '2, '6. Constable 1781, £ 91, '2, '5, '6, '7, 1801, '2, '3. Collector 1781, '89. Selectman 1782, '3,'4,'5,'6,'8, '9; and was for many years the Moderator of most of the Town Meeting- and although he had an impediment in his voice he was an excellent Presiding Officer. Bothe were ad. f.c. 7 Aug.1785 from the church in Braintree. She d. 25 Oct. 1805. 55. (3) Ins.on g-s: "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord." He m. (2d) 1 Aug.1807 (T.F) Kate Lowell b.
