Moderator Lombardi called the meeting to order at 8:00 P.M. Mr. Faherty moved adjournment until 8:15 P.M. Mrs. Conley seconded, and it was voted by a voice vote. Moderator Lombardi reconvened the meeting at 8:20 P.M. and called for a moment of silence in honor of Mr. Martin Young a distinguished citizen of the town who had died that day. The Moderator also asked that the Town Meeting members join with him in a silent prayer for the success of the space launching of Astronaut Cooper the next day.
Mr. Conden moved that in order to do honor to the memory of the late Martin E. Young, the Town Meeting be adjourned at 11:00 P.M. and reconvene at 8:00 P.M. on Monday, May 20, 1963. The motion was seconded and voted by a unanimous voice vote.
ARTICLE 54. To see if the Town will vote to raise and ap- propriate or transfer from available funds, the sum of $10,000.00 to improve accepted streets as petitioned for by the Highway Sur - veyor.
