The addition of eight hundred automobile bills to the tax committment has made an added delinquent list. The Col- lector would like to answer several questions about the Motor Excise Tax.

1. State sets the tax rate.

2. State sets the valuation.

3. Town figures the tax and the revenue goes toward the Town's expenses.

4. Taxpayers should get an abatement from the Assessors' upon the car traded in or disposed of within sixty days from the date of disposal.

5. The taxpayer should be sure to give the correct model of their car upon their registration slip as all taxes are computed from this information.

6. Automobile owners should keep informed from the news- papers on any changes that may occur through legislation this coming year.

Respectfully submitted,

AMOS C. KINGSBURY, Tax Collector.
