READ CAREFULLY


The new ruling of the Department of Vital Statistics requires. that Physicians and Midwives shall within 48 hours give notice to the Town Clerk with such data as may be procured at the time, regardless of child's name if not known.


Parents shall give notice, with such other data as may be neces- sary, within 15 days from the date of birth. Do not depend upon the Physicians or Hospitals but be sure yourself that the Town Clerk is notified of the birth.


A fine of twenty-five dollars may be imposed for wilful neglect. in complying with the above rules.


The Town Clerk is required to record the exact date of return. and to report all violations or neglect in making such reports.


Blanks will be furnished on application to the Town Clerk.

SPECIAL MEETING


JANUARY 27, 1921


Pursuant to a warrant issued by the Selectmen a meet- ing was held in the Town Hall Tuesday, Jan. 27th, 1921, at 7 o'clock in the evening, and the following action was taken on the several articles contained in said warrant:


Article 1. To see what action the Town will take in relation to the purchase of the franchise and property of the Medfield Water Company, provide means to finance the same, or do or act anything relating thereto.


It was unanimously


Voted, that the Town purchase from the Medfield Water Company for a price not exceeding $12,500., all the franchise, real and personal property, water rights and privileges, and all other rights, privileges and inter- ests which said Water Company has in connection with the operation of its water system in the Town of Med- field, and that the Town Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, be authorized to borrow, for a term not exceeding one year, the sum of $12,500., for the purpose of making this purchase, all to be done as soon as pos- sible, consistent with the interests of the Town.

Voted, that a committee of three be appointed by the Moderator to have full charge of all matters in regard to the purchase and management of the property and in- terests of the Medfield Water Company, as set forth in the previous motion, except such matters as shall be re- quired by Law to be performed by the Board of Select- men ; this committee to consider rules and regulations for the future operation of the water system by the Town, the powers and duties of the Board of Water Commis- sioners, recommend as to the permanent financing of the
