the Town Hall, in said Medfield on Monday the 19th day of May A.D. 1952 at 7:30 P.M. then and there to act on the follow- ing articles:
Article 1. To see if the Town will vote to amend the Zoning By-Law of April 5, 1938, by striking out Section 7, Paragraph 5, and inserting therein the following:
Lot size. No dwelling shall be erected in an "A" residence district on a lot containing less than twenty thousand square feet or less than one hundred and twenty feet wide, nor in a "B" residence district on a lot containing less than twelve thousand square feet or less than one hundred feet wide, or industrial district on a lot containing less than seventy-five hundred square feet or less than sixty feet wide, provided that one dwelling may be erected on any lot which, at the time this By-law is adopted is separately owned.
Article 2. To see if the Town will vote to re-establish "Establishment of Districts" under Section 1, Paragraph 1, of the Zoning By-law of April 5, 1938, by striking out said section and substituting the following section:
SECTION 1. ESTABLISHMENT OF DISTRICTS.
1. Classes of Districts. The Town of Medfield is hereby divided as shown on the Zoning Map dated April 5, 1938, and more recently amended by Zoning Map dated February 11, 1952, filed with the Town Clerk, into 5 classes of districts:
"AA" Residence Districts
"A" Residence Districts
"B" Residence Districts
Business Districts Industrial Districts
And, to see if the Town will vote to amend Section 1, Paragraph 2, of the Zoning By-law of April 5, 1938, by adding:
"A" residence district uses under Section 2 shall apply to the "AA" residence district, and the area regulations of Section 7, pertaining to the "A" residence district shall apply to the "AA" district in Article 5.
And, to see if the Town will vote to amend the Zoning By-law of April 5, 1938 by adding to Section 7, Paragraph 5, the follow- ing sentence:
No dwelling shall be erected in an "AA" residence district on a lot containing less than forty thousand square feet or less than one hundred sixty feet wide provided that one dwell- ing may be erected on any lot which at the time this amend- ment to the By-law is adopted, is separately owned and con- tained not less than twenty thousand feet and not less than

one hundred twenty feet wide, and also provided that one dwelling may be erected on any lot which was separately owned on April 5, 1938.
Article 3. To see if the Town will vote to adopt the follow- ing By-law under the provisions of Chapter 529, Acts of 1949, or do or act anything in relation thereto:
Section 1. There shall be appointed annually by the Board of Selectmen an Inspector of Wires. Such appointment shall be made in April of each year and he shall hold office from the first day of May following for the term of one year and until another is appointed in his place. The Selectmen may at any time remove him. He shall keep a record of the business of his department and submit to the Selectmen in time for publication in the Annual Town Report a yearly report of such business.
Section. 2. He shall require all persons and corporations owning or operating wires to conform to all the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and to all rules and regula- tions contained in the National Underwriters' Code.
Section. 3. Any person or corporation operating electric or other wires within the town shall, upon request of the In- spector, furnish him with such information as may be neces- sary to the faithful and effectual discharge of his duties under this By-law.
Section. 4. The Inspector shall have access at all reason- able times to all wires, appliances, and apparatus in the in- terior of a public building or on private premises, which are intended for carrying an electric light or power current, and no person shall arrange, affix or change any such wires or apparatus without giving the Inspector reasonable opportunity to inspect such wires and their arrangement and fixtures be- fore the same are covered or enclosed; and no person shall place such wires in any building in process of construction until all gas, steam, water, and furnace pipes have been placed in proper position. No person shall connect such wires in the interior of a public building and on private premises with an outside circuit which crosses or runs along, over or under, any street or way of the Town without written permission therefor having been first obtained from the Inspector.
Section 5. No electrical installation shall be made in any house, factory, building or structure of any type or affixed in any way to any portion of any premises in the Town of Med- field which is intended to be connected with an outside electri- cal circuit which crosses or runs along, over or under any street or way of the town unless a written permit to make such electrical installation is granted by the Inspector of Wires to the person, firm or corporation making written application for such electrical installation.
Section 6. Fees shall be charged by the Inspector of Wires to any person, firm or corporation applying for permits for electrical installations as provided in Section 5; said fees

to be paid by the applicants when such permits are issued in accordance with the following schedule:
FEES FOR ELECTRICAL PERMITS - CURRENT CONSUMING OUTLETS
For 1 through 10 outlets

For 11 through 25 outlets .50
For 26 through 50 outlets 1.50
For 51 through 100 outlets 1.50
For each additional 25 outlets or fractional part

Article 4. To see if the Town will vote to transfer a sum of money from the Road Machinery Fund to the Highway Operating account to defray expenses of the operation and maintenance of Highway Machinery.
Article 5. To see if the Town will vote to accept the following named sums as Perpetual Trust Funds for the care of Lots in the Vine Lake Cemetery, the interest thereof or as may be necessary to be used for said care, viz:

Shall a declaration be made by popular referendum, pur- suant to the Housing and Rent Act of 1947, as amended, that a substantial shortage of housing accommodations exists which requires the continuance of Federal Rent Control in this town after September thirtieth, nineteen hundred and fifty- two until the close of April thirtieth, nineteen hundred and fifty-three, in accordance with the provisions of said Act? YES
NO The polls will be open from 8:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.
Hereof fail not and make return of this warrant with your doings thereon at the time and place of said meeting:
