To either of the Constables of the Town of Medfield, in said County, greeting:
In the name of the Commonwealth you are directed to no- tify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Medfield, quali- fied to vote in elections and in town affairs, to meet at the Town Hall, in said Medfield on Monday the 2nd day of March A.D. 1953 at 6:00 A.M. then and there to act on the following articles :
Article 1. To choose all Town Officers required to be elect- ed annually by ballot, to wit:
One Moderator, One Town Clerk, One Treasurer, Three Constables, One Tree Warden, One Member of the Park and Planning Board, all for one year.
One Selectman, One Assessor, Two Members of the School Committee, Two Trustees of the Public Library, One Member of the Board of Health, One Cemetery Commissioner, One Member of the Water and Sewerage Board, One Member of the Board of Public Welfare, One Collector of Taxes, all for three years.
The polls to be opened at 6:00 A.M. and may be closed at 2:00 P.M.
Article 2. To choose Fence Viewers, Field Drivers and Pound Keeper.
Article 3. To see if the Town will vote to accept the re- port of the several Town Officers for the past year.

from time to time in anticipation of the revenue of the finan. cial year beginning January 1, 1953, and to issue a note or notes therefor, payable within one year, and to renew any note or notes as may be given for a period of less than one year in accordance with Chapter 44, Section 17, General Laws.
Article 7. To determine in what manner the taxes shall be collected for the ensuing year; also determine what per- centage shall be allowed the Collector for the ensuing yar.
Article 8. To see if the Town will authorize the Collector to use all means in the collection of taxes as the Treasurer might if elected to that office.
Article 9. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Selectmen to appoint one of its members as Clerk of the High- way Department, or do or act anything in relation thereto.
Article 10. To see what compensation the Town will allow the Clerk of the Highway Department, or do or act anything in relation thereto.
Article 11. To see if the Town will vote to raise and ap- propriate a sum of money for the improvement of Chapter 90 Roads, said money to be used in conjunction with any money alloted by the State or County or both for this purpose, or do or act anything in relation thereto.
Article 12. To see if the Town will vote to transfer a sum of money from the Road Machinery Fund to the Highway Operating Account to defray the expenses of the operation and maintenance of Highway Machinery.
Article 13. To see if the Town will vote to raise and ap- propriate a sum of money for the construction of a section of High Street, said money to be used in conjunction with any money allotted by the State and County, or do or act anything in relation thereto.
Article 14. To see if the Town will vote to raise and ap- propriate a sum of money to reconstruct the sidewalk on the north side of West Main Street from the N.Y., N.H. & H. R.R. Co. right of way to a point approximately 365 feet westerly or do or act anything in relation thereto.
Article 15. To see if the Town will vote to raise and ap- propriate a sum of money to reconstruct the sidewalk on the north side of Oak Street between Pleasant Street and South Street. or do or act anything in relation thereto.
Article 16. To see if the Town will vote to raise and ap- propriate a sum of money to repair the exterior walls of the Town House, or do or act anything in relation thereto.
Article 17. To see if the Town will vote to instruct the Selectmen to petition the Boston Edison Company to install one (1) electric light on the corner of North Street and Janes

Avenue, the cost of installation to be taken from the appro- priation for Street Lighting under Article 4.
Article 18. To see if the Town will vote to raise and ap- propriate a sum of money for the purpose of making certain repairs to the Town Offices, or do or act anything in relation thereto.
Article 19. To see if the Town will vote to accept by deed gratuitously a certain right of way or easement for the drain- age of surface water on Oak and Park Streets from Dudley J. Goring, Trustee of "Conemara Realty Trust of Medfield, Massa- chusetts," or do or act anything in relation thereto.
Article 20. To see if the Town will vote to raise and ap- propriate a sum of money for Vocational Tuition and Trans- portation.
Article 21. To see if the Town will vote to raise and ap- propriate a sum of money for retirement, under the provisions of Chapter 708, Acts of 1941, of teachers entering Military Service.
Article 22. To see if the Town will vote to raise and ap- propriate a sum of money to be expended under the direction of the School Committee for the purpose of installing an as- bestos curtain in the auditorium of the High School Build- ing, as ordered by the Department of Public Safety, or do or act anything in relation thereto.
Article 23. To see if the Town will vote to raise and ap- propriate the sum of $1,100.00 for a School Dental Clinic to be administered under the supervision of the Board of Health, or do or act anything in relation thereto.
Article 24. To see if the Town will vote to appoint a School Building Needs Committee to report at a Special Town Meet- ing not later than the month of November, 1953; said commit- tee to consist of one member of the School Committee. The Superintendent of Schools and three other members to be named by the Moderator, and raise and appropriate a sum of money for necessary expenses of said committee.
Article 25. To see if the Town will vote to transfer to the Library the sum of $272.47, the same being the amount col- lected in Library fines during 1952, or do or act anything in relation thereto.
Article 26. To see if the Town will transfer the sum of $573.33 from Dog Tax Return to the Library, or do or act any- thing in relation thereto.
Article 27. To see if the Town will vote to raise and ap- propriate the sum of $1,250.00 to the Library to be used to convert the present coal furnace to oil, or do or act anything in relation thereto.

Article 28. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Water and Sewerage Board to appoint one of its members as Water Superintendent, or do or act anything in relation thereto.
Article 29. To see what compensation the Town will allow the Water Superintendent for the ensuing year.
Article 30. To see if the Town will vote to raise and ap- propriate a sum of money for the purpose of a survey of ad- ditional sources of water supply, or do or act in relation thereto.
Article 31. To see if the Town will vote to raise and ap- propriate a sum of money for the construction of a new tennis court, or do or act anything in relation thereto.
Article 32. To see what compensation the Town will allow the members of the Fire Department for the ensuing year.
Article 33. To see if the Town will vote to raise and ap- propriate a sum of money for the purchase of 1,000 feet of hose, or do or act anything in relation thereto.
Article 34. To see if the Town will vote to look into the advisability of purchasing a piece of land for a Fire Station, or do or act anything in relation thereto.
Article 35. To see if the Town will vote to raise and ap- propriate the sum of $4,200.00 and to transfer the sum of $320.00 from the Sale of Cemetery Lots Fund for the mainten- ance of Vine Lake Cemetery, or do or act anything in relation thereto.
Article 36. To see if the Town will vote to raise and ap- propriate the sum of $468.00 for the purchase of a Devor Model No. 24R Lawn Mower for the Cemetery Department, or do or act anything in relation thereto.
Article 37. To see if the Town will vote to raise and ap- propriate a sum of money for the purchase of an automobile for the Police Department and authorize the sale or trade of the present car as part of the purchase price, or do or act any- thing in relation thereto.
Article 38. To see if the Town will vote to raise and ap- propriate a sum of money for the hire of an ambulance for town use, or do or act anything in relation thereto.
Article 39. To see if the Town will vote to raise and ap- propriate a sum of money for the purchase of a mist-blower chemical tree sprayer for the use of the Tree Department, or do or act anything in relation thereto.
Article 40. To see if the Town will vote to raise and ap- propriate a sum of money for the purpose of sending out notices to the voters of Special Town Meetings, or do or act anything in relation thereto.

Article 41. To see if the Town will vote to raise and ap- propriate the sum of $400.00 to lease land for an open bathing beach, equip it with requisite fixtures and conveniences and provide instruction and protection in swimming, or do or act anything in relation thereto.
Article 42. To see if the Town will vote to raise and ap- propriate a sum of money for Civil Defense, or do or act any- thing in relation thereto.
Article 43. To hear and act on the report of the War Me- morial Committee (World War II) appointed under Article 27 of the Annual Town Meeting of March 12, 1952.
