August 31 1761 At a meeting of the Inhabitants of the Town of Wenham Regularly warned and Convened Mr Benja Kimball Being Chosen moderator it was Voted to Raise the Sum of one Hundred Pounds Lawfull money to Defray the necessary Charges of the Town the year Currant - The meeting then was adjourned to the 28 Day of Sept following at four o clock afternoon in order To Take under Consideration the Petition which the Revd M' Swain Presented to Town for an addition to his Salery - and it was voted to make and addition To
