Edwd Waldron Surveyors Thos Brown Wenham April ye 24th 1760 Wee Jacob Dodge, and Edward Waldron, both of Wen- ham afore sd Gent" and yeoman have divided fence be- tween us as followeth, beginning at the Corner by the Highway and Runing Southwest, as the Wall now Stand- eth, to the Hallow on ye Hill to a Stone Set into ye Ground on sd Dodge's Side, which is Eighteen Rods or there Abouts: and then from sd Stone to Mark Dodge's Corner being the same length aforesd . And have Set the Eastwardly End from sd stone, to sd Jacob, and the West- wardly End to sd Edward in Confirmation of the Above we hereunto set our hands the year and day above sd - Jacob Dodge Edward Waldron

Taken up Damage Feasant in my inclosure in sd Wen- ham and impounded in sd Town Pound, a Cow of a Black Colour, with a white Face, with a Crop in the Right Ear, and a half penny in the under Side of the Same. Wee the Subscribers Surveyors of fences for the year Current, upon the Complaint of Capt Jacob Dodge of Wenham, for want of a division of fence between him the sd Jacob, and Peter Dodge of the Same Wenham Have at the Request of the Compainant Repaired to a Place Known by the Name of White's Land in sd Wen- ham, adjoining to the twenty a(cre So Called) near Ipswich line, and have divided fence between the above named Parties as followeth (viz) Beginning at the end of the fence between the sd Jacob, & Peter, next the Lower Corner of sd Twenty Acres and begining at sd Corner we Run westerly upon the fence between ye two Contending Parties Sixteen Rods & a half to a Stake & Stones, which said Sixteen rods and an half we have Set to the sdJacob. - Thence Run onwards Sixteen Rods & an half untill we came to the Land that sd Peter lately purchased of Timothy Patch Late of sd Wenham, which last Sixteen Rods & half we set to the sd Peter as his Part of sd fence. Then we Turned Southerly upon the fence between the sd Jacob Dodges sd White's land and the sd Peters lately Purchased of the sd Patch and Run Seven Rods as the fence now stands which Seven Rods we Set to the sd Peter as his Part of his Second String of fence about sd Premises - Then we Run onward the Same Course Seven Rods to Quarleses land lately Purchased of sd Patch, which last Seven Rods we Set to the above sd Jacob Dodge as his Part of his Second String offence

Whereas Application has been made to us the Sub- scribers Surveyors of Fences in Wenham in sd County by John Killam, of sd Wenham, that Richard Dodge of sd Wenham, is owner of a Certain Tract, or piece of Land Situate in sd Wenham adjoining to him the sd John, and that he the sd John, never had any division of Fence with him the sd Richard ; nor could obtain any, tho' he has divers Times Notified and requested him the sd Richard, to divide Fence with him yet he the sd Rich- ard, neglects & refuseth to divide sd Fence with the sd John. Wherefore at yee request of the sd John, we have this day Met, and Made a Division of Fence between the sd John & Richard, in the following manner (viz) be- gining at James Dodge's Corner, Adjoining to the land

sd John Killum lately Sold to sd Richard, and Runing Southeasterly four rods between sd Killum's land, and the land of the sd Richard, Aforementioned and turning easterly Twenty Seven rods, & a Quarter, to a Post Stand- ing in the Meadow Near to the upland, which, thirty one rods & a quarter, we Assign and Set to him the sd Rich- ard Dodge as his Part of Fence to Make and Maintain, between himself, and the sd John Killam . And from the sd Post one rod & a Quarter on the same Course to an elbow, and then Runing about Northeast, between sd Premises about Twenty six Poles to a Stump in the Wall upon Ipswich line which sd last Twenty seven rods & a Quarter we Adjudge to be equal to the aforesd thirty one rods & a Quarter, set to the sd Richard, and Accordinly Set the last sd Twenty Seven Poles and a Quarter to the sd John Killam, as his Part of Fence and sd Premises to Make and Maintain between himself and the sd Rich- ard - And in Confirmation hereof we hereunto Set our hands the day abovesd.
