HOUSE

-

On South-east Corner of Sixth and Elm Streets,

CINCINNATI, O.

THIS LARGE, COMMODIOUS AND CENTRAL HOTEL

Has been leased for a term of years by the subscriber, and having been closed for repairs, has undergone a thorough renovation, and is now re-opened for the accom- modation of the traveling public.

This House, situated on high ground, is the best ventilated of any in the city. It is six stories high, built of stone, and capable of accommodating comfortably 150 persons, mostly with separate apartments. The doors are fastened with the celebrated anti-burglar locks, making it impossible for the door to be opened on the outside, while locked within. It presents the advantage of being located convenient to the Custom House, Post Office, and Pearl Street, now the greatest Wholesale Street in the city, as well as but a short distance from the Theatres and other places of amusement.

The apartments are clean and well kept, good order will always be strictly observed, and servants will be polite and attentive. From the Proprietor's long experience in the business, he is confident the house shall be so conducted, as to meet the patronage of the public, and to make it the best

DOLLAR A DAY HOUSE IN THE CITY.

The House will be kept open night and day, at all hours. Omnibuses will be in attendance to and from the cars. Breakfast for early train.

Board. $1.00 per Day.

Having experimented wtth medicine in the treatment of disease, for more than ten years, laying aside all prejudices, I have examined in the meantime, all the va- rious systems and schools of medicine, and have selected such remedies as I could demonstrate to be safe and efficient, rejecting all mineral poisons. To remove acute diseases is comparatively an easy task; it is the curing of chronic disease that re- quires science, positive science, combined with patience and perseverence, tempered with kindness. It is in the latter class of diseases where physicians mostly make their failures; indeed, they more frequently aggravate rather than benefit. Having given this class of disease my special attention, I profess to be prepared to treat all Chronic Diseases with positive success. I mean all that are curable cases, unless it be conditionally, so that patients may depend on my declaration.

I profess to treat successfully all Chronic Diseases of the Lungs, Liver Com- plaint. Bronchia, Deafness, Diseases of the Eye in all its forms, Neuralgia, Paraly- sis, Rheumatism, and all derangement of the nervous system, Fistula in Ano, Piles and Prolapsus. And successfully treated in from thirty to sixty days, without the use of the knife, nor much additional pain.

I profess to treat with unparalleled success the loathsome disease known by the name of Cancer, in all its stages, without the use of the knife, nor any harsh treat- ment. Furthermore, as regards this loathsome disease, I will forfeit $500 for any one case I will undertake, if a failure accrue under my treatment from this date.

I might enumerate the whole class of Chronic diseases, but it is sufficient to say that I feel myself equal to all cases that are curable ; all other cases I shall positive- ly decline treating, except conditionally.

Letters from a distance, containing one stamp, will receive prompt. attention. Address Box 1980.
