annual Town Meeting held Monday, February, Seventh 1916.
The voters of Brimfield assembled at the town on Monday February 7th 1916. in response to the foregoing warrant. The Avecting was called to order by the Town Clerk Minner H. Corbin. who read the warrant calling the meeting. The meeting was opened at ten o'clock. A.M. and Monroe G. Tarbell. Stanley Hicks, Charles M. Streeter and William &. Davenport. were sworn is ballot clerks and tellers who had previously been appointed by the Selectmen to act for this Election. A ballot. was then taken for Moderator of said meeting with the following result. whole number of ballots cast Twenty one(21) of which Robert f. Streeter received seventeen(17) and was declared elected and se corn. The cards of instruction and specimen ballots were then delivered to the ballot clerks by the town clerk to be posted, and a package of ballots was delivered to the ballot clerks for male vaters said to contain two hundred. also a package of ballots for female voters said to contain one hundred (100) hallats and took their receipt for them . The ballet boy was then opened for inspection and declared empty by the Moderator the register standing at 000. it was then lacked and the key delivered to the police officer. Elmer & Bradway who had previously appointed to that office and sworn. at ten a clock and two minutes the moderator declared the polls open for the reception of ballots. Charles Streeter being a candidate for a town office was not eligable as. clerk and teller resigned, and the Selectionen appointed Robert Sherman, and he was sworn.
