Business of Special Town Meeting. February 24. 1926.
In response to the foregoing warrant, the voters of Brunfield assembled in Town Hall. The meeting was called to order by the Town Clerk at 8 P.M. on motion of J. H. Lawrence, it was voted to adjourn to the Selectmen's room.
The Clerk then read the warrant and look up Article 1. The nomination of 7. V. Lawrence was duly seconded, and there being no further nominations , on motion of ihr. madison, it was noted that the Clerk cast one ballot for Mr. Lawrence for moderator.
Mr. Lawrence was duly sworn by the Clerk
Inasmuch as a number of Town officials were at the Brass fire at west Brumfield, it was voted to ad- journ for 10 minutes.
At 8:15, the Supt of Streets having arrived, Art. 2 was taken up and on motion of mr . Madison , it was
Voted, to appropriate the sum of $1,150. - from Overlay Surplus for Snow Removal.
A motion by tur. Tarbell to appropriate the sum of 350. from Overlay Surplus and $ 250. from Surplus Revenue to purchase a "V" plow for use with the Town's Tractor was lost, 10 voting for and 14 against.
A motion by mr. Tarbell to appropriate an additional 300 from overlay Surplus for Snow Removal was lost, 11 voting for and Ist against.
A motion of P.A. Parker to reconsider previous vote on snow plow was lost , 12 voting for and 15 against. It was voted that the Selectmen petition the County Commissioners to discontinue a portion of the old Sturbridge Road in front of the Boys Club Farm.
At 4: 30, it was voted to adjourn.

The voters of Brumfield assembled at Town Stall on Monday, may 17, 1926 at 8 o'clock P.M. in response to the foregoing warrant.
The Town Clerk called the meeting to order and read the warrant,
Under Article 1, Fred N. Lawrence was nominated moderator, M. G. Jarbell and Clarence B. Brown having been previously nominated and declined . On motion of Mil madison it was voted that the clerk cost one ballot for Mr. Lawrence for moderators . This was done and Mr. Lawrence was duly worn by the clerk.
A motion by R.J. Hamilton that the check list be used on all articles in the warrant was carried.
A motion was made by mr. Madison to pass over this article. Messrs. Spooner + Sherman were appointed tellers and the meeting proceeded to ballot on the question, the result of the same being 85 votes cast for and 79 against, the motion being carried.
On motion of Mr. Haley that action on this article be passed over , the check list was again used, the result being 12% voting for and 22 against, The motion being carried. .At this point P. A. Parker offered a motion that action taken on Article 2 be rescinded. Motion not voted.
O. P. Parker moved that the Committee chosen under article 19 of the warrant for the last annual meeting having stated they had no report to make, the report be docepted

The meeting called by foregoing warrant, was called to order at 7:30 P.M by the Town Clerk, who read the warrant and proceeded to Art. 1. 7. A. Lawrence having been nominated from the floor for moderator, the Clerk, on motion of Mr. madison, unanimously voted, cost one ballot for 7. N. Lawrence als Moderator.

It was voted, That the Town will indemnify the Commonwealth of Massachusetts against any and all clarins for land, grade and dramage damages which may be caused by or result from the laying lout, alteration ou reconstruction of a state Highway in section of State Highway on road from Brimfield Village to Forokett's mill in Town of Brumfield, and that the selectmen be authorized to sign an indemnity agreement there for in behalf of the Town, indemnifying the Commonwealth as aforesaid.

State Election November 2. 1926.
In response to the foregoing warrant, the voters of Brumfield assembled at Town stall. The Selection and J. walter Brown, previously appointed to act as Teller, were sworn by the Town Clerk. At 10 AM. the Town Clerk read the warrant and then delivered the sealed ballots to the Tellers and declared the Polls open.
At two o'clock it was voted to keep the Polls open until 3. At 3 o'clock it was voted to further Extend the time of closing 20 minutes , and at 3:20 P.M. the polls were declared closed.
At two o'clock, the Selectmen and Town Clerk, having po ordered , the ballot box was opened by the Constable and the ballots removed for counting. The Town Clerk and J. walter Brown being designated to do the counting. The result of the election was as follows: - Total number of votes cast 212.
