In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are hereby directed to notify and warm the inhabitants of the Town of Brimfield qualified to vate. in ton. affairs to meet at the Town Hall in said Brun- field on Monday the 24th day of March inst at 10 o'clock in the farenoon. to act on the following articles. To choose all necessary town officers for the ensuing year. also all committees and agents the buisness of the town may require. all oficers required by law to be chosen by ballot must be on one ballat. Channel town meeting held moreday March 24th (1.3. The voters of Brimfield assembled at the town Hat on Mouse day Deres 24th 19/3. in response to the foregoing passant. The meeting was called to order by the Young Clerk Ineiner N. Graben, who read the warrant alive the meeting. The meeting was opened at 10, 0 clock quel 4 minutes (L.m. George W. hernan, Charles C. Brew annuel N. Celans and. Frederick Lack. having been previously appointed by the Selectionen us ballot clerks and tellers. to deliver the ballats. check the names. and assist in assorting and canvassing and counting the ballots cast por moderator and town officers, also on the question shall license be granted in this town for the sale of intoxicating liquor's" and they were severally sworn by the town Clerk. U ballet was there. taken for moderator with the following result, whole number of ballots cast thirty four. (34) of which Robert J. Streeter received thisty four and was unamionly elected. and accepted the office. The cards of instructions and specimen ballots were Then delivered to the ballot clerks by the town clerk to be posted. and the packages of official ballots said to Contain two hundred and twenty eight ballots for mule vaters, and a packing? of official ballots said to contain sixty four (64) ballats for female voters. and received their receipt for them. The ballat box was then opened for inspection and declared to be empty by the moderator. it was then locked and the key delivered : George & Hitchcock Police Officer who had been appointed to that office, and the ballat boxregister. was declared by the moderator to stand at 000. at-10. o clock and Five minutes a. M. The moderator declared the polls for the reception of ballots. Cut 11,20 Vated To take up town buisness. article 5th taken up.


Voted on mation of cerri Hicks that the Treasurer be authorized to borrow money from time to time with the approval of the Selectmen in anticipation of the taxes of municipal year beginning april 1st 1913. to an amount not exceeding in the aggregate of tive thousand ($2000.) dollars, and to issue a note on mates therefor payable within one year, any debt or debts incurred under this vate to be paid from the taxes of said municipal year.

at The report of the Committee on Electric Lights chosen the annual meeting held march 25th 1912. reported as follows The Committee chosen at the annual Town Meeting held on march 25th 1912 to investigate the cost of installing Electric Lights in the Center Village, and the Village at East Brim- - field and report at the next animal Town meeting Submit the following report. after carefully considering the matter of purchasing and equiping a plant of our own . The Committee were unanimous in their opinion that it would be more satisfactory for the town to purchase their Electric lights through a Company organized for that purpose ..

The Committee there fore took the matter up with the Central muss. Company of Palmer and they refused to consider the extention of a live to Brimfield. after which the Committee took thematter up with the Webster and South bridge Gas and Electric Company. The officers of the Company after looking the ground over estimated that fifty five (55) lights would be required to suitably light both villages, and submitted the following proposition. The Company agree to furnish and they recommend the forty (40) Candle priver Tungsten lights at the following prices. 1at lights burning fromdusk untie midnight every night at $13.30 per light per year. 2nd Lights burning from dusk until daylight every night $18.00 per lamp per year- 3ª Lights burning from dusk until midnight on a moonlight schedule $12.25 per light per year. The prices the Company assert are for a five year contract. The Committee recommend that the town accept the first proposition Vis, Lights burning from dusk until Midnight every night, at $13.30 per light. Respectfully submitted. Edward B.
