Art. 34. To see if the Town will vote to approve the installation of the following listed street lights, Two in Lynnfield Square, Three on Carter Road, Two on Oxbow Road, Two on Homestead Road, Three in Sylvan Circle, Two on Phillips Road, and One opposite Post Office on Summer Street.

Art. 39. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $720.00 to pay for one thousand feet of two and one half inch hose, purchased by the Fire Department in 1941. This sum of money to be raised and appropriated in accordance with and under Chapter 179, acts of 1941.

Fletcher and situated on the easterly side of Summer Street, Lynnfield, bounded on the North by land of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, on the East by land now or formerly Cornet, on the South by land now or formerly of Sparks, Martin and the Town of Lynnfield, and on the West by Summer Street,

said parcel containing approximately two acres; or to authorize the school committee to take said parcel of land for school purpose by the right of eminent domain.


Motion was made by Edward Averell, that the Town raise and ap- propriate the sum of $1,000.00 for the purpose of purchasing a parcel of land owned by Edward M. Fletcher and situated on the easterly side of Summer Street, Lynnfield, bounded on the North by land of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, on the East by land now or formerly of Cornet, on the South by land now or formerly of Sparks, Martin and the Town of Lynnfield, and on the West by Summer Street, said parcel containing approximately two acres.


Tellers were appointed and a hand vote taken, 36 voting in the af- firmative and 129 in the negative, the motion being lost.


Art. 45. To see if the Town will vote to have Arlington Street widened to the proper width of an accepted street as governed by the Zoning Laws of the Town of Lynnfield.


Motion was made by Mrs. Ann Cox that the Town have Arlington Street widened to the proper width of an accepted street as governed by the Zoning Laws of the Town of Lynnfield. Todd, that the Selectmen be instructed to cause a survey to be made of Arlington Street and the side lines established, the cost to be taken from the Highway appropriation. Art. 46. To see if the Town will vote to construct a sidewalk of either asphalt or cement in front of the Center Postoffice.

Shall the proposed measure which provides that the present statutes which make it a crime punishable by fine or imprisonment knowingly to advertise, print, publish, distribute or circulate any matter containing reference to any person from whom or place where any drug, instru- ment or means whatever, or any advice or information may be ob- tained, for the purpose of preventing pregnancy, or to sell, lend, give away, exhibit, offer or advertise any drug, medicine, instrument or other article for the prevention of conception, or to write or print information of any kind stating when, where, how, of whom, or by what means such article can be obtained, or to manufacture or make such article, shall not apply to treatment or prescription given to married persons for protection of life or health by or under the direction of registered physicians nor to teaching in chartered medical schools nor to publica- tion or sale of medical treatises or journals, which was dis-


approved in the House of Representatives by a vote of 77 in YES the affirmative and 133 in the negative and in the Senate by NO a vote of 16 in the affirmative and 18 in the negative, be approved?


To obtain a full expression of opinion, voters should vote on all three of the following questions :-


(a) If a voter desires to permit the sale in this city (or town) of any and all alcoholic beverages to be drunk on and off the premises where sold, he will vote "Yes" on all three questions.


(b) If he desires to permit the sale herein of wines and malt bev- erages only to be drunk on and off the premises where sold, he will vote "No" on question one, "Yes" on question two and "No" on question three.


(c) If he desires to permit the sale herein of all alcoholic bever- ages but only in packages, so called, not to be drunk on the premises where sold, he will vote "No" on questions one and two and "Yes" on question three.


(d) If he desires to permit the sale herein of wines and malt bev- erages to be drunk on and off the premises where sold and in addition other alcoholic beverages but only in packages, so called, not to be drunk on the premises where sold, he will vote "No" on question one and "Yes" on questions two and three.
