Know all men by these presence, that we Joseph Gerrish and Joseph Coffin both of Newbury in the County of Essex, in the Province of the Massachusetts Bay in New, England. Esqrs and Joseph Woodman of Nar- ragansett No one in the County of York, and Province aforesd Gentleman as a Committee of the Proprietors of said Narragansett No 1. by virtue of the power given us by their Vote at their meeting on the twenty ninth day of November A D. 1752, as by said Vote fully appears, in consideration that John Elden of said Narragansett No one Gentleman, and Jeremiah Hill of Biddeford Gent'n and Joseph Leavit of York, Tanner, all in the County of York and Province aforesaid. have Erected certain mills on a Stream in said narragansett called the Little River, as also in consideration that ye said John Elden, Jeremiah Hill and Joseph Leavitt and their heirs and as- signs at all times hereafter shall grind all corn and grain at their Grist Mill on said Little River for the Inhabitants of said Narragansett No 1, (which said Inhabitants or any of them shall at any time or times hereafter bring to said mill) by turns as they bring the same, before grinding for the In- habitants of any other place or town. as also on consideration that ye said John Elden Jeremiah Hill and Joseph Leavet their heirs and assigns

shall at all times hereafter Saw for the Inhabitants of said Narragansett No 1. to ye halves if desired and at their proper turns what boards & Stuffe said Inhabitants shall want for their buildings in said narragansett but not for sale or merchandise, said Inhabitants bringing their logs and Stuffe for sawing into ye mill Yard or Brow or proper place for leying the same.
Have by these presents in our capacity aforesaid Sold to ye Said John El- den. Jeremiah Hill and Joseph Leavet their heirs and assigns forever the Priviledge of the said Stream of Water called the Little River together with ten acres of land adjoining to it, Bounded as foiloweth, Viz, beginning at a Small rock maple tree marked on four sides with the letters J. W. H. standing four rods South East from the lower mill on the northeast end of the Second Division Lots on the D Range which Joins to the common and undivided land and thence N. West Seventy rods to a Spruce tree marked with J. L. E. and from this line to extend North East of an equal breadth So far as to include ye full complem't of ten acres of land,
To Have and to Hold, the said Stream and land to them ye said John El- den Jeremiah Hill and Joseph Leavett in severalty that is to say to ye said Jeremiah Hill one half thereof and to the said John Elden and Joseph Lea- vett each of them one quarter part thereof and to their heirs and assigns forever in manner aforesaid to their use benefit and behoof as a good abso- Inte Estate of Inheritance in fee simple forever on the conditions above mentioned on the nonperformance whereof the said Stream and Priviledge to return to said Proprietors to be at their disposall as if this instrum't had not been made.

I William Hancock of Narraganset No one in the county of York Hus- bandman being very weak in Body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto God for the same and calling to mind the mortality of my Body & knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make && or- dain this my last Will & Testament, that is to say princip'y and first of all I give and recommend my Soul into the hands of God that gave it. and for my Body I recommend it to the earth to be buried in a christian like man- ner at the discretion of my Executors nothing doubting but at the general Resurrection I - receive the same again by the mighty Power of God : and touching such worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this Life. I give devise and dispose of the same in manner and form following ; that is to say in the first place. I give and bequeath to my well beloved wife Sarah Hancock, the income of all my Real and Personal estate during her natural Life and after her decease I give and bequeath to my three grand sons born of my daughter Elizabeth Lane, whose names are John, Isaac & William Lane and their Heirs all the North East Ends of my first and half the second home Lott on the Letter E. as far down as a North west & South East Line by my Flanker house now on said Land.
I give to my two grandsons John Hancock & William Hancock if they or either of them shall live to the age of Twenty one years, all the South West end of the aforesaid Lotts from said Flanker House as far as they go. to- gether with the twelfth home lot on the Letter F. they paying to each of their sisters Mary Hancock and Sarah Hancock Six Pounds Lawfull money when they shall come to the age of twenty one years if they shall live there- to, and if in case the abovesaid John and William Hancock die after they shall come to the age of Twenty one years and leave no lawful Issue be- gotten of them : then all the abovesaid Lands to them given is to returne to all my heirs equally to be divided amongst them.
I give to my oldest Danter Mary Boyinton one Third division in said Town which was originally laid out to and is the Ninth Lott of the Letter F.
I also give to my grandson William Hancock one Right in the undivided Land in the same manner as I gave him the above Premises. I give to my Grandson John Bointon one half of the Eleventh second division on the

paid him upon his building a fort or Garrison at the Township aforesd Said fort or Garrison to be forty feet square bilt with Pillasaders or Stockades three feet & one half in the ground & ten feet above the Ground & Said Stockades to be Sett Double & a Good flanker or watch box at two opposites Corners of Said fort : & Said fort or Garrison to built in twenty Days from ye date hereof : & to be Sett where the inhabitants living on the northerly Side of the Swamp Shall See cause to Sett the Same the Expence to be paid by the Generall -

I give to my grandson Samuel Haysetine all my Right and Title that I have to the Fifth Third division on the Letter D. and after the decease of my Wife Sarah Hancock I give to my Son in Low John Line or his Heirs the Income of my Homested til his Three sons & my son Isaac Hancock's two Sons shall come to the age of Twenty one years of age, if they shall there- to. he the said John Lane clearing the same of Taxes.
And I do hereby make and appoint my said Son in Law John Lane the Executor of this my last Will & Testament, hereby revoking all other Wills & Testaments.
