We the Subscribing Proprietors of said town of Buxton do hereby request you to Call a meeting of said Proprietors to be holden at the House of M" John Garland in said Buxton, on Monday the 25th Day of august A. D. 1806 at one of the Clock in the afternoon ; to act on the following articles - Viz to choose a Moderator Clerk & treasurer for the service of said Proprietors untill others shall be chosen & sworn - To choose a Committee to make a Division of the Money & notes now in the hands of Jacob Bradbury Esquire, the proceeds of the lands called 700 acres and any other money or notes of the Proprietors afored & transfer the same to the Proprietors treasurer for the Use of said Proprietors ; or any method the Proprietors may Judg necessary - To Choose a Committee to adjust the unsettled accounts of Joseph Woodman & others who have claims against the Proprietors, and certify such adjusted accounts to the Proprietors treasurry who may be directed to discharge such Ballances as may be found Justly due as Certified by said Committee out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated -

Voted, That John Woodman Esquire, messrs Joseph Leavit & Joshua Kimball be a Committee to Join a Committee of the town to make a division of the money & notes now in the hands of Jacob Bradbury Esquire Props agent, the proceeds of the Sale of Lands called 700 acres, (so Called) as well as notes or money in the hands of other persons, and transfer the same to the Proprietors treasuery for their use as soon as may be -
Voted, That Joseph Leavit, Joshua Kimball & Thomas Bradbury be a Comtee to adjust the unsettled accounts of Joseph Woodman & others who may have Just Claims for Services performed by them ; and Certify such adjusted ac- counts to the Proprictors treasurer for payment out of any money not otherways appropriated

Pursuant to the Request of seven (?) of the Proprietors of the town of Buxton in the County of York - I Do hereby noti- fy and Warn a Meeting of the Said Proprietors to meet & assemble at the House of Mr John Garlands Innholder in said Buxton, on Monday the seventeenth Day of August next, at One "Clock in the afternoon, to act on the following articles viz
last Indian War and was at Sumersett with Collo Harmon when the In- dians was Killd thear, that he was at Norigewock when the Indians was Killd thear by Collo Harmon & Collo Moulton ; that he lived at St. Georges when this war began with the French & when the Province granted a boun- ty on Indian scalps, that he listed a number of volunteers and was out after the St. Johns' Indians all the winter before the Expedition to Louisburge, that he listed a Company & served as Capt in the said Expedition, that he was ye first man that was wounded in the sd expedition ; that he was Taken Sick the middle of Sept after the Reduction of sd Place & was careyed to Boston sick & lay thear sick till the last of April following, and that his sickness, nurses, watches & other expenses Cost him all his Wages be- sides what the Province allowed him ; that on apll ye 29 th Your Excellen- cy in your great goodness was pleased to give your Petitioner the command of a Compy of soldiers in the Service of this Province in ye Eastern Fron- tear. That in going from Falmouth to Brunswick to post some of his Compo according to Your Excellencys Orders. that your Petitioner got cold & it threw hin into a Relapse & your Poor Petitioner has been sick ever since and most of the time confined to his Bead and is now but just able to go from the Bead to the Fier ; that youer Petitioner had his house burnt by the Indians when the last war broke out; that youer Petitioner has a wife and three small Children* and nothing in the world to Suport I imselfe nor them ; withall yoner Poor Petitioner Begs that you will in youer great goodness take him and his Poor miserable circumstances into yoner wise consideration and do Somthing to Relive youer Poor Destressed Petitioner under his Destressed Condition, and youer Petitioner as in Duitey Bound shall ever pray
