Olive, married Nathaniel Dunn, July fourth, 1804 : and Daniel, born March twenty-fourth, 1783, married Juliette Fernald. of Kittery, Maine. December ninth, 1807,-she died in Belfast, Maine, February twenty-seventh, 1829.


Col. Isaac Lane* was a prominent merchant and mill-owner. His chil- dren by his first wife, Ruth Merrill, were Hannah, born in 1795, married, November twenty-sixth, 1829, Ellis B. Usher, of Hollis, Maine ; Eudoxa, born in 1797, and died May seventeenth, 1798,-by his second wife, Mrs. Sarah Randall, he had Ruth Merrill, married Parker Sheldon, and died in Gardiner, Maine ; Jane Maria, married Samuel Bradley, for many years a distinguished counsellor at Law in York County ; Mary Jones. died in Hollis, in 1836; and Thomas Cutts, born February twelfth, 1810. The last two were born in Hollis; the others, in Buxton.


The children of Jabez Lane and his wife, Mary E. Knowlton. were Mary, born in 1793, married Daniel Heath : Eudoxa, born in 1796, married Tem- ple Foss ; Sarah, born in 1799, married John L. Atkinson : Rebecca, born in 1802, married Wadsworth Boulter: Abigail, born in 1805; Joseph W., born in 1808, married, first, Octavia Bradbury,-secondly. Elizabeth Hutch- ings .- thirdly, Margaret Emery; Elbridge G., born in 1810, married Eliza Brooks ; Thomas K., born November fifteenth. 1812, married, December twenty-eighth, 1837, Hannah E., daughter of James Atkinson, of Hollis, Maine. They were all born in Buxton.


The children of Thomas K. Lane and his wife. Hannah E. Atkinson, were George F., born September eleventh. 1839, married, September fifteenth, 1860, Georgie E. Verrill; Henry, born July third, 1841, married. June seventeenth, 1868, Lizzie Huff : Anthony. born Angust thirty-first. 1843, married, July eighteenth, 1869, Martha Tarbox ; and Walter, born Septem- ber sixth. 1847. They were all born in Saco, Maine.


The children of Col. Daniel Lane and his wife. Juliette Fernald, were Al- bert G., born in Saco, Maine, January thirteenth, 1809, married Sarah Cutts, of Saco, and died in Machias, Maine, March seventh, 1859: Harriet Fernald, born in Buxton, October seventh, 1810. married Albert Bingham, November twenty-second, 1839, and resides in Newtonville, Massachusetts : Daniel, born in Portland. February first, 1817, married Elizabeth Avery of Belfast, and is a merchant at that place; Franklin H., born in Belfast, Oc- tober twenty-fifth, 1819, married Mary Paine.

Enlisted in the Spring of 1777 & joined Capt Daniel Lane's company (as a musician) in Colo Alden's Regt & Served till 25th of at which time was discharged at West Point by Brig Gen' Patterson -


Enlisted again in 1781 about the month of November & joined Capt Zebulon King's Company in Colo John Brook's Regiment & served till 31st Decr 1783 at which time was honorably discharged by Maj Gen Knox commanding the Forces on the Hudson

We the Subscribers being appointed by the Proprietors of the Common & Undivided Lands in the Town of Buxton and Duly authorized to Lay Out the Said Common Lands into a Lott to each Original Proprietors Right in said Buxton - In Conformity to Our Laid appointment. we have proceeded in said Business and have Laid out and planned the said Lands for a fourth Division in said Town, Sittuated and Bounded as is hereafter Expressd and in the Following Order having due reference to the plan Draughted by Samuel Knight Surveyor of Lands in said Buxton -
