[Joseph Goodwin whose name appears in the above PAPER, married Mary, daughter of Deacon Timothy Hazaltine. He was the son of Joseph, and his wife, Elizabeth Warren, grandson of John, and his wife, Patience Willoughby, great-grandson of William, and his wife Deliverance Taylor, and great-great-grandson of Daniel, and his wife, Margaret Spencer. Daniel was in Kittery in 1652. He was a son of Daniel, and his wife, Dorothy Barker, of Suffolk, grandson of Daniel, who owned an estate at Great Bakly, Essex County, England, which was called "Millers." The children of Daniel, the emigrant, were Daniel, born in 1656, married Anne, daughter of Miles Thompson, Oct. 17, 1682; James, married Sarah, daughter of Miles Thompson, Dec. 11, 1686, and died July 31, 1697; Thomas, married Me-

of York in the Province of the Massachusetts Bay in New England on ye One Part and his Son Thomas Goodwin of the Parish County & Province afore sd on the Other Part Witnesseth that the said Daniel Goodin doth by these Presents let & Lease unto the Sd Thomas Goodin his Heirs Execrs Admrs and Assigns All his Home Stead Lands & Orchard lying & being in said Parish of Berwick & his meadow & Swamp Ground lying & being at & Place commonly called & known by the Name of Slutts Corner to the Halves,

We the Subscribers have laid out one hundred & Twenty three Lots in Said Township and Laid out ways to Each Lot as by the Plan herewith Exhibited may at Large apear Reference thereunto beeing had may at Large apear but in-as-much as on the Raing of Lots Known by the Letter C the Lots falls Short of what was Intended by the Said Sub- scribers therefore we Report that whosoever Shall Draw any of Said Lots Shall have Six acres & one half acre added to his Next Devision Excepting the Twenty Seventh and Twenty Eighth Lots which are to have No addition to them and that on the first & Second Lots on the Raing Known by the Let- ter D-there is Reserved one acre & half at the westerly End
