The city has substantial and hand- some business blocks, an opera hall with a seating capacity of 800, and a number of special and general stores, etc. The press is represented by the Free Press (Rep.), and Reedsburgh Times (Dem.). Rvs. 65 miles northeast of Wausau, and 254 northwest of Milwaukee.' It is in the heart of the great pinerles, was first settled in 1882, and now contains & saw mills. 5 planing mills, a turning factory, foundry and machine shops. Methodist, Congrega- tional, Catholic and German Lutheran churches, schools, 2 banks, good hotels. an opera house with a seating capacity of 800, and 3 weekly newspapers, the Oneida Herald, the New North and the Vindicator.
