The county seat. Has a population of nearly 200. Toccoa is the nearest telegraph and express office, and railroad station. North Broad river furnishes power to operate grist mill, and there is also a steam grist and saw mill, Baptist and Methodist churches and a high school. Cotton, corn and oats, are the principal ship- ments. Daily mail.

Has Presbyterian, Bap- tist and Methodist churches, com- mon schools, a newspaper-the Car- roll County Times-flouring mill, and sash, door and blind factory. Cotton is the principal product.
