MEETING OF THE TOWN CLERKS Of the Eighth Representative District County of Norfolk
. . The Town Clerks of the Towns of Norwood and Walpole in the County of Norfolk, said towns comprising the eighth representative Norfolk Dis- trict, at a meeting held November 15, 1918, at 12 o'clock noon, do make out under our hands the following complete return of all votes cast for Representative to the General Court in said District as follows:
Frank G. Allen of Norwood had 1491; scattering, 1; blank, 556.

SPECIAL TOWN MEETING December 18, 1918.
On a warrant duly issued by the Selectmen and dated December 9, 1918, and signed by Frank G. Allen, John E. Folan, Patrick J. Lydon, and Oliver J. Barr, Selectmen of Norwood, the proper service of which was duly attested by Harry W. Swift, Constable of Norwood.
All of the requirements of the Statutes and By-laws relating to Town meetings having been complied with, the meeting was called to order by Town Clerk and Accountant James E. Pendergast and James A. Halloran elected as the Moderator of the meeting, the articles contained in this warrant and the action taken thereunder being as follows:
Article 1. To see what sum or sums of money the Town will vote to appropriate for the following purposes, the same to be in addition to sums heretofore appropriated for said purposes, or take any other action in the matter.
(a) Maintenance and repairs of highways, culverts and bridges, high- way equipment, paving gutters, building sidewalks, setting edgestones, sanding sidewalks, street signs and guide boards and operation of stone crusher plant.
Voted: From available receipts in the treasury the sum of $2,400.00.
(b) Incidental expense of the Police Department.
Voted: By transfer the sum of $300.00.
(c) Support of Poor.
Voted: From available receipts in the treasury the sum of $800.00.
Article. 2. To see what sum the Town will vote to borrow and appro- priate for new construction in the Municipal Light Department, or take any other action in the matter.
Voted: The sum of $4,500.00. By borrowing.
Article 3. To see what sum or sums of money the Town will vote to raise or borrow and appropriate to meet expense incurred by the Board of Health in the control of contagious diseases, the same to be in addition to sums heretofore appropriated for said purpose, or take any other action in the matter.
Voted: From available receipts in the treasury the sum of $4,800.00; also authority to dispose, in such manner as it may determine, of any equipment and supplies.

Article 4. To see what sum or sums of money the Town will vote to appropriate to meet the expense of the current year for the support of schools, the same to be in addition to sums heretofore appropriated for said purpose, or take any other action in the matter.
Voted: From available receipts in the treasury the sum of $4,000.00.
Article 5. To see if the Town will vote to reconsider the action taken under Article 15 of the warrant for the Special Town Meeting held July 23, 1914, whereby it authorized the Selectmen to sell the old Balch School building at a price not less than $800.00, and to fix the price at which said building may be sold at less than $800.00, and to fix any other terms of sale, or take any other action in said matter.
Voted: To soreconsider and authorize the Selectmen to sell such building at such pricc as to said Selectmen appears fair and reasonable, and upon such other terms as they may determine.
Voted: That this mecting be dissolved.
