EIGHTY-FIFTH ANNUAL REPORT
Article 2. To hear and act on the report of the town officers.
Article 3. To raise and appropriate money to defray the general town expenses for the current year.
Article 4. To raise and appropriate such sums of money as may be necessary for the support of schools, including Stetson High School. and also for the conveyance of pupils.
Article 5. To hear and act on the report of any committee, and choose any committee the town may think proper.
Article 6. To see what action the town will take in relation to repairs on the Turner Free Library Building and raise and appropriate money for the same.
Article 7. To see if the town will vote to raise and appropriate money for the District Nurse Fund.
Article 8. To see what sum of money the town will raise and appropriate for lighting the streets by electricity.
Article 9. To see if the town will vote to build permanent sidewalks and raise and appropriate money therefor.
Article 10. To see if the town will vote to pay the insurance on the Town Treasurer's Bond for the year 1920- 1921, and raise and appropriate money therefor.
Article 11. To see what compensation the town will allow for the collection of taxes.
Article 12. To see if the town will vote to pay the insurance on the Tax Collector's Bond for the year 1920- 1921, and raise and appropriate money therefor.

Article 17. To see if the town will vote to raise and appropriate money for repairs on North Street.
Article 18. To see if the town will vote to re-appropri- ate the sum of $1,500.00 for the installation of a switch at West and No. Main Streets for the Randolph & Stoughton Street Railway Co. This amount was appropriated at the Special Town Meeting held July 15, 1920, but was not used.
Article 19. To see if the town will vote to re-appropri- ate the sum of $400.00 for the installation of fire hydrants in North Randolph. This amount was appropriated at the Special Town Meeting held July 15, 1920.
Article 20. To see what action the town will take relative to repairs on North Street, under the direction of the Mass. Highway Commission and the Norfolk County Commissioners, and raise and appropriate money for the same.
Article 21. To see if the Town will authorize the Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, to borrow money from time to time in anticipation of the reveune of the financial year beginning January 1, 1921, and to issue a note or notes therefor, payable within one year, any debt

or debts incurred under this vote to be paid from the revenue of said municipal year.
Article 22. To see if the town will appoint the Select- men to be the agents and attorneys of the town to prosecute, defend and compromise any and all suits in which the town may be in any manner interested as a party or otherwise, except so far as the same relates in any manner to the water supply, and to employ counsel if necessary.
Article 23. To see if the town will authorize and appoint the Water Commissioners to be the agents and attorneys of the town to prosecute, defend, compromise and settle any and all suist and proceedings in which the town may be interested as a party or otherwise so far as the same in any manner relates to the taking and use of the water of Great Pond or in the construction of the Water Works either jointly or separately as authorized under Chapter 217 of the Acts of 1885, and to employ counsel, if necessary.
Article 24. To see if the town will make an appropri- ation for the decoration of Soldiers' graves, under the direction of Capt. Horace Niles Post 110, G. A. R.
Article 25. To see if the town will raise and appropri- ate money to contribute to the sinking fund as required by law, to meet the payment of the Randolph Water Loan when due.
Article 26. To see what action the town will take relative to medical attendance on the poor, and raise and appropriate money for the same.
Article 27. To see what action the town will take relative to repairs on highways, and raise and appropriate money for the same.
Article 28. To see if the town will instruct the Select- men to appoint a special police officer or officer to enforce the laws and raise and appropriate money for the same.

Article 34. To see if the town will accept the provisions of Chapter 19 of the Revised Laws and Acts in amendment thereof, relating to the application of Civil Service Rules and Regulations to the police force.
Article 35. To see if the town will vote to engage a School Nurse for this town or in conjunction with another town or towns and raise and appropriate money therefor, as petitioned for' by Herman W. French, Chester L. Paine and others.
Article 36. To see if the town will convey to Post 169, The American Legion, by Warranty deed the lot of land now owned by the town, and located next North of the Stetson High School, and that the same be exempt from taxes. Said lot of land to be used for the location of a Memorial Building, no other permanent structure to be erected upon said land, as petitioned for by Lieut. Thomas W. Desmond Post 169, The American Legion.
Article 37. To see if the town will vote to raise and

appropriate money to paint the Stetson Hall Building interior and exterior as petitioned for by the Trustees.
Article 38. To raise and appropriate money for the suppression of the Gypsy and Brown Tail Moth, as recom- mended by the State Forester.
Article 39. To see if the town will appropriate the sum of twelve hundred dollars ($1,200.00) to repair Cottage Street from Main Street to North Street, as petitioned by John A. Forrest and others.
Article 40. To see if the town will vote to increase the number of its School Committee from three to six or nine in accordance with the provisions of General Laws, Chapter 41 and other provisions of law applicable thereto as petitioned for by Walter F. Stephens and others.
Article 41. To see what action the town will take relative to repairs on West Street, and raise and appropriate money therefor, as petitioned for by William P. Brennan and others.
Article 42. To see if the town will vote to accept the provisions of Chapter 31 of the General Laws relative to the application of Civil Service Rules and Regulations to the Police Force, as petitioned for by Walter F. Stephens and others.
Article 43. To see if the town will vote to amend By-Law number 21, adopted at the Annual Town Meeting, May 5, 1913.
And you are directed to serve this warrant by posting attested copies thereof at five or more public places in said town, seven days at least before the day and hour for holding said meeting.
